Tangshan Botanical Garden Yuan) is located in the south of the city center, adjacent to Nanhu eco city, tangxu road in the south, Jianshe South Road in the East, and the south side of Nanhu Park, covering a total area of 55.45 hectares (832 mu). With the design concept of "bathing in the fire, phoenix rising from Nanhu", the garden takes Tangshan botanical garden as a famous film of the city to interpret our soaring Tangshan, cultural Tangshan, ecological Tangshan and living Tangshan.

Introduction to botanical garden

Tangshan botanical garden is located in the south of Nanhu Park on Jianshe South Road, covering a total area of 55.45 hectares. It is a new interactive botanical garden with six functions of appreciation, science popularization, ecology, economy, culture and scientific research. With the design concept of "Nirvana, phoenix rising from South Lake", the botanical garden is regarded as a card of the city to interpret our soaring Tangshan, cultural Tangshan, ecological Tangshan and life Tangshan.

The terrain of Tangshan botanical garden is uneven and relatively broken, with fly ash soil layer and ruins all over the place. Through the design, the excavation and landfill are carried out, the mountains and rivers are reorganized, and the undulating natural terrain integrated with the natural environment is created. Combining with the existing landform, the landscape pattern of Tangshan with mountain and water is constructed: expressing ambition with mountain, symbolizing Tangshan; comparing emotion with water, symbolizing Bohai Sea. The idea of botanical garden landscape planning is to radiate the whole garden with the honest, kind, tough and unyielding spirit of Tangshan and pioneering, broad and profound character of Bohai Sea, so as to highlight the regional characteristics of the project.

In April 2010, the water system, primary and secondary roads of the botanical garden and six gardens, namely, Haitang garden, Bitao garden, Yulan garden, crape myrtle garden, peony garden and rose garden, entered the construction site. In November 2010, the square and underground parking lot of Dongmen district began to enter the site for construction. According to the plan, the garden will be built into the first boutique botanical garden in North China. It is an international botanical garden with distinctive local characteristics, inheriting local context and reflecting industrial civilization. There are 154 families, 457 genera, more than 500 species of terrestrial plants, 14 categories and 120 species of greenhouse plants. According to the specific situation of the construction, the whole garden will be divided into East and west areas by stages. The east area will be built in the early stage, and more than 400 kinds of land plants will be planted.

Combined with the radiation of surrounding roads and service radius, and fully considering the implementation of tangxu Road, Jianshe South Road and the next citizen square, there are three entrances in the south, East and West. The main entrance is the east entrance close to Jianshe Road. The design of the gate combines the characteristics of the botanical garden itself, and combines the backbone of plants with the traditional farming civilization. The architectural concept is simple, atmospheric and novel It reflects its own characteristics and forms the landmark landscape of the park. At this entrance, a 9.9-meter-high Wulian stone stands tall, symbolizing the long and happy life of Tangshan citizens. It is produced in Wulian County, Rizhao, Shandong Province, and weighs nearly 500 tons. It is the largest standing stone in North China. The five big characters "Tangshan botanical garden" is inscribed by Zhang Hai, chairman of the Chinese Calligrapher Association. It is the "stone of Zhenyuan" of the botanical garden. The west entrance and the south entrance will radiate the public square area and the tourists in the direction of tangxu road. The East and South entrances are designed in combination with the tourist service center and management facilities, and equipped with parking lots.

Tangshan botanical garden strives to let people feel the nature in the flower language, so the plant community landscape as the main body is the landscape focus of the whole botanical garden. The key to construct the landscape is to fully explore the texture, charm, level, color, time sequence changes of plants, and the cultural factors that can produce a common sound between the plant landscape and people's emotions. We should endow the relatively static landscape with dynamic vitality. The feature of the alternation of four seasons is the feature of our botanical garden. Different seasons can reflect different landscape features and form our characteristic landscape. At the same time, we can maximize the function of people-friendly interaction of the botanical garden, so that people can find their own space in the botanical garden in different seasons Will be natural, feeling life! The park is divided into seven functional areas, namely management service area, classification system plant display area, functional plant display area, central landscape experience area, waterfront landscape area, children's activity area and scientific research display area.

According to the evolution system of plants, the tour route is composed. Each division focuses on displaying the family, genus or the same kind of plants. According to the color and florescence of different varieties, a variety of plant landscapes are formed. Combined with the layout of landscape space, 18 parks are set up.

This year, 12 parks in the eastern district are first open to tourists, namely: magnolia garden with Magnoliaceae plants as the main part; Begonia Garden with Tangshan celebrity Cao Xueqin and Begonia flowers throughout the dream of Red Mansions as the cultural dark line, including nearly 100 varieties at home and abroad; peony garden with traditional cultural plants as the source of creation. The west district will be built one after another: combining Nanhu Lake with the water body of the park by means of landscape, building six special gardens, including aquatic plant garden, bonsai garden for Tangshan bonsai lovers to exchange bonsai culture, and fragrant botanical garden for the blind.

In order to further reflect the popular science of the botanical garden, a greenhouse, a science museum and a scientific research exhibition area will be further built to show the evolution process of plants in Tangshan, reflect the adaptive plants, chrysanthemum plants and native tree species of various soils in Tangshan, and increase the participation of citizens in Horticultural pruning and other activities, so as to enrich the activity functions of the botanical garden.

Arboretum

Plant species: 370 species

Main tree species: Ailanthus altissima, Cotinus coggygria, Acer truncatum, Eucommia ulmoides, Fatong, Robinia pseudoacacia, grafted ginkgo, maple, etc.

Functional requirements: the arboretum has a large area and many varieties. It uses patch planting, group planting and point planting to show the landscape of trees and play a background forest and shading effect.

Tangshan Garden

Hebei Tangshan botanical garden area: 8921 square meters (13.4 mu)

Plant species: 20 species

Key tree species: walnut, chestnut and hawthorn; evergreen tree species: cedar, Pinus tabulaeformis and Metasequoia glyptostroboides; middle tree species: cherry blossom, Begonia, jujube and pomegranate; ground cover tree species: Viola yedoensis and Cymbidium Cymbidium; characteristic tree species in the park: chestnut and walnut.

Functional requirements: display the former residence of Cao Xueqin, and decorate Tangshan characteristic tree species such as chestnut, walnut, cherry, hawthorn to enclose Tangshan garden.
