White garden

The cemetery of Bai Juyi is the cemetery of Bai Juyi,

Located on Pipa peak in the east mountain of Longmen in the south of Luoyang City, covering an area of 44 mu, it is a natural and cultural scenic spot in Longmen Grottoes scenic area. It is the only theme park in China to commemorate Bai Juyi.

Bai Juyi was a happy man. He lived in Luoyang for 18 years in his old age. Although he was respected as "Shaofu", he was poor all his life. He was fond of wine and poetry. He built Xiangshan temple in Longmen and opened Bajie beach. He was very attached to the landscape of Longmen. After his death, he was buried here.

In Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other countries, as well as in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, quite a number of delegation have come to Baiyuan to commemorate, seek roots and worship ancestors.

In 1988, the Japanese Society for the promotion of Chinese culture set up a memorial here, which was written in both Chinese and Japanese languages. In 1995, Japan offered cherry blossoms and erected a monument in Baiyuan.

In 1999, South Korea and Singapore set up a monument here in 2000.

Baiyuan is a memorial garden. Its buildings are simple and elegant, with flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons. It is a good place to visit. The main scenic spots are Qinggu District, paradise, poetry Gallery, tomb area, Japanese Calligraphy Gallery, Daoshi bookstore, etc.

In 1961, the State Council announced the tomb of Bai Juyi as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. In 1982, Luoyang Municipal government allocated 1.1 million yuan to rebuild Baiyuan, which was completed and opened in 1985.

geographical environment

Longmen East Mountain is called Xiangshan. This valley is called Qinggu. Qinggu divides the north slope of Xiangshan mountain into a peak called Pipa peak.

The white garden is built along the Green Valley and around Pipa peak. Covering an area of 44 mu, it is well arranged and decorated.

Qinggu District

Qinggu district is located between the two mountains, with baichi, tingyiting, Shibanqiao, Songzhu and Bailian. Entering the Qinggu District, the waterfall falls down, the pool water rippling, the bamboo forest green wind, the white lotus fragrance, making people relaxed and happy.

Listen to Yiting

Enter the door straight, but see the road turn peak back, forest; spring Ding Dong, clear water. It's very elegant. Walking up the stone steps, there is a pavilion on the hillside, called "Tingyi". This pavilion is where Bai Juyi played chess, drank wine, drank tea and discussed poetry with his friends Yuan Zhen and Liu Yuxi in his later years.

Paradise

From Ting Yi Pavilion, there is a simple and elegant Pavilion among the dangerous rocks and cypresses, with the title of "paradise".

Facing the Green Valley, the paradise is a place for poets to meet their friends. The natural rocks are exposed in the room, and the white marble statues are natural and natural. Sitting on the rocks, it gives people the feeling of thinking deeply about the world.

Standing in front of the paradise, we can deeply recall the connotation of the poet's original work "constant water in front of the door, many tall trees on the wall, bamboo path around the lotus pond, lingering more than 100 steps".

In the hall, there is a white jade statue of Bai Juyi, a dove stick in plain clothes. It is lifelike and has a state of floating desire for immortality.

Tomb area

On the right side of the music paradise, the stone steps go up to the peak of pipa. The tomb area is located at the top of Pipa peak, which can be reached from the peony altar.

There are Bai Juyi's tomb, woshi stele, wutoumen and the standing stones of Chinese and foreign guests and ethnic groups who admire Bai Juyi. The front of the tomb is paved with stone, and the back of the tomb is covered with carpet, surrounded by green cypresses.

The monuments here are set off against the cypress and peony, and they are more elegant than solemn. Ancient stele, natural stone lying stele, wutoumen, Dengdao and Beilu have unique design. It is the largest stone book in China. The biography of zuiyin, which was carved by Yin Luzhen in Henan Province, is on the side of the tomb. It is said that the people of Luoyang and tourists from all over the world knew that Bai Juyi was addicted to alcohol, so they all came to the tomb to worship him with a cup of wine. The land in front of the tomb was often wet, and there was no dry time.

Among the green cypresses, there is a round mound surrounded by low brick walls, which is the place where Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, died. On the top of the round tomb, the grass is luxuriant.

There are three large stone tablets in front of the tomb, one of which is engraved with six words "Tang Shaofu Bai cemetery".

Looking at the tomb from a height, it looks like a pipa. The mound where the white tomb is located is the "Qin box". In the southeast of the mound, there is a long grass graveway surrounded by neat holly. In the middle of the green grass, three "Qin strings" can be seen clearly. This is the "curved neck" of the pipa. The poet is well versed in rhythm and wrote the song of pipa. This mountain, this tomb, this place of Longmen, is the best place for him to sleep.

Poetry Gallery

There are 38 pieces of stone standing in the poetry Gallery, which are written by famous Chinese and foreign writers, with complete lines, grass, seal and official script. You can appreciate Bai Juyi's masterpieces and appreciate the beauty of calligraphy. The collection displays contemporary calligraphy and painter works related to Bai Juyi's poems. Various versions and life stories of Bai's works are displayed in Daoshi bookstore and Cuiyue Pavilion.

Poetry Gallery

From the tomb path to the left, down to the gentle peak waist, there is the ancient and elegant nine curve corridor. The wall of the corridor is inlaid with the poems sung by modern poets and the full text stone carvings of Bai Juyi's Pipa line. On the right side of the tomb, there is a huge stone tablet. Engraved with the biography of zuiyin, the stele weighs 24 tons and is the largest stone book in China at present.

Japanese Calligraphy Gallery

The Japanese Calligraphy Gallery was built for the calligraphy exchange between China and Japan. Most of them are works by famous Japanese calligraphers. It was built in March 2000 and opened to the outside world.

Features of scenic spots

Baiyuan has three characteristics different from other scenic spots. Only when we are familiar with these three characteristics can we have a unique feeling.

First of all, we should look for the trace of Bai Juyi's life, visit the poet's graveyard, taste his noble life and appreciate his immortal poems. We can approach the poet across time and space and communicate with each other.

Secondly, the landscape here is built around Bai Juyi's personality and poetic style. The beautiful mountains and waters, trees and stones, pavilions and pavilions, steles and verandahs all reflect the poet's temperament, Tang Dynasty style and natural perfection.

Thirdly, the stone inscriptions and couplets in the garden are meaningful, especially Bai Juyi's poetry gallery and Japan's stele Gallery, which are a collection of the merits of hundreds of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign artists. They are across the river from Longmen 20pin and other stone inscriptions. It also adds the brilliance of China's three stone art treasures.

Exhibition activities

Baiyuan and Luoyang stone appreciation Association jointly hold the rocky stone exhibition of Zhonghua River in the park. The rare stones include Peony stone, animal world, underwater treasure, moon in Tianchi, great man stepping on snow, moon in hometown, clear at a glance, Huashan Mountain in Xiyue, Bai Juyi, carp jumping Longmen and so on.

Overseas commemoration

Japan

The most respected poet abroad is not Li Bai and Du Fu, but Bai Juyi. Bai Juyi is the poet who left the most poems in Tang Dynasty. After the reform and opening up, many overseas people came to Baiyuan for commemoration, especially in Japan. He is known as "the benefactor of Japanese culture", "the writer respected by the whole nation of Japan", "the world cultural celebrity" and "the historical poetry superstar"

In July 1988, the Chinese Culture Society of Japan established a monument for Bai Juyi in Baiyuan.

The inscription is written in two Chinese and Japanese characters, the content is: "Mr. Bai Juyi, the great poet, you are a benefactor of Japanese culture, you are a writer respected by the whole nation of Japan, your contribution to Japan is as great as a mountain, and it will last forever. I'd like to present a monument to praise it. " The signers include Sakai, Banggong, Danye, xishiro, Gongxia, Yanyi, Huishan, Cui, SONGFENG, kanglang, etc.

If Bai Juyi is so appraised by the Japanese, I'm afraid he is also unique among ancient poets, which is hard for ordinary tourists to imagine. It can be seen that Bai Juyi's worldwide influence.

 

In the mid autumn of 1990, guitou Youyi, the president of Japan's Association for the promotion of Oriental culture, and Bai Jingyou, the 53 generation grandson of Bai Juyi, set up the "eternal monument of Bai Letian".

He is a world famous cultural figure and a historical poet Li Jinxue Shudan, chairman of China Weibei calligraphy society and member of China Calligrapher Association.

In 1991, Japan made a monument to Bai Juyi from zhencui to Baiyuan.

He also wrote "Bai Juyi's poem of offering stele" on it, and the inscription was written by Bai Tao of Japan. "Bai Juyi's poem of offering steles" says: "starting to write Yunmen, it is famous all over the world. Where the rhyme of poetry often drifts, the more green the white garden is. "

In March 1995, one of the famous figures in Japanese cultural circles, such as Hideki umada, Hiroshi Yamada, Hongxiong Matsui and guitou, set up a "Sakura offering monument" here.
