Taiping Temple
Taiping nunnery is located in Tongxing village, Qingcao Town, Tongcheng City, Anhui Province. There is no written record of the time of the construction. The temple now faces south, with two main halls, Weituo hall in the front and three Bodhisattvas, Guanyin and Yaowang in the back. There are more than 20 houses in the East and squatters in the West.
Taiping temple in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province
Taiping temple is located in Yangqiao village, southwest of Yun Village, Caoqiao Town, Wujin District. It was built in Ming Dynasty and renovated by sengmiaofeng in 1806.
Before 1949, there were three Chenghuang halls in the west, three Tudi halls in the East, two Niangniang halls in the middle, eight dormitories, four kitchens, four Zhaitang and four side rooms.
After 1949, most of the schools were demolished and rebuilt.
After the approval of opening up in 1995, Zhu Chunhai and other residents initiated the reconstruction of Taiping nunnery.
It is planned to build 22 halls and wing rooms, and more than 10 Buddha statues, with a construction area of 520 square meters and an area of 5 mu.
Fude temple is located in Qianyang village, Yaoguan Town, Wujin District.
It is said that the surname Yang of Qianyang village came from Hunan Province, followed by master Ford. At the beginning, he lived in a cypress tree and lit a lantern. In order to settle master Ford, people surnamed Yang built temples for Bodhisattva Ford.
There is no examination of the time when it was first built.
Before 1949, there were only three houses, which were demolished in the 1960s. In 1995, it was approved to reopen, and the main hall, Guanyin hall, Fude hall, Zhaitang and Liaofang were successively built.
The building area is 1060 square meters, covering an area of 3 mu.
On October 15 of the lunar calendar, Bodhisattva Ford's birthday, more than a thousand believers from Changzhou, Wuxi, Jiangyin and other places came to offer incense and use food, especially the workers of Qiji factory.
The temple affairs are presided over by master Chang Jie and there are two permanent monks.
Yantai Taiping Temple
Taiping nunnery, located near the top of the main peak of Tashan mountain in Zhifu District, faces south. It is a Quanzhen nunnery integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. According to textual research, it has a history of more than 700 years.
The main hall of the nunnery is dedicated to the leaders of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.
This kind of offering pattern is extremely rare in China. After the restoration of Kaiguang in 1993, it was identified as the earliest place for religious activities in Yantai city. Several Taoists lived in nunneries all the year round.
Now we can independently carry out large religious activities such as "praying for blessings and prolonging life".
Dragon King Hall
Located in the south of Taiping temple, the main peak of Tashan.
The hall is dedicated to the Hanlong king and Shuilong King worshipped by the people.
It is said that the Dragon King in the South can protect the agricultural production from bad weather and good harvest, while the Dragon King in the north can protect the fishermen who go out to sea with their fish and shrimp in their warehouses. Since the restoration in, the incense in the hall has become more and more vigorous.
Buddism godness Guanyin peak
It is a natural landscape in the Tashan tourist area. It is located on the north side of the main peak of the Tashan mountain, echoing the main peak from afar. Tashan is a traditional folk activities, commonly known as "rush mountain.". It is said that this day is the birthday of queen mother, so it is also known as "Queen Mother's Millennium Festival". The old folk custom in Zhifu is "visiting Tashan and enjoying pear blossom".
It is said that on this day in the old days, tourists gathered on the Tashan mountain, vendors gathered on both sides of the road, and there were many chimes in the Taiping nunnery.
Tashan amusement city has held five Tashan games since it resumed this 46 year old traditional activity in 1994. While maintaining its original local folk characteristics, it also launched a series of activities with characteristics of the times, such as "Tashan Cup" mass mountaineering competition, which makes this folk festival full of flavor of the times.
Triple tower
It is located on the main peak of Tashan mountain at an altitude of 397 meters. According to textual research, it was built in 1293 A.D. from the Yuan Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty. It has a history of more than 700 years. It was formerly known as "Heigu tower" and later destroyed in modern wars. It is said that there are the remains of the believers of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism buried under the tower, which are full of legend and historical significance.
The design height of Sanhe tower is 31 meters, and it is divided into seven layers. It combines ancient and modern characteristics, and has a unique style. Inside the tower are the heavenly palace and the underground palace. Tiangong is used to collect the list of people who have contributed to the construction of the pagoda, while the underground palace is used to store the famous, excellent and special products of Yantai City, recording the historical situation of the construction of the pagoda. On the sightseeing platform of Sanhe tower, you can have a panoramic view of the five districts of Yantai.
The tower will become a landmark of Tashan with far-reaching historical significance and the second landmark of Yantai city.
Taiping morning bell tower
In 1998, the Taiping morning bell, which was donated by many pilgrims, weighs 1.35 tons, has a simple shape and a strong voice. The inscriptions on the bell show that its function is "to awaken the ancients, to know that they are good at using, to touch the spirit and to benefit Xiaoze". Now ring the bell at 6 a.m. every day to wake up the urban people to start a new day's life and work.
Taiping morning bell tower is located on the west side of Guanyin peak, facing the urban area of Yantai.
