Last time I thought the former owner of the house was a landlord. This time there was a different discovery. When I was creeping about in the yard, I met an old woman with high vigilance. She was more than 70 years old and lived in a compartment with only a few square meters. The old man told me that this was the house of a capitalist surnamed Xie before liberation. At that time, you can see the Yangtze River directly from here. In summer, it is a good place for river breeze. The house is well built and has good feng shui (but I still can't expect its fate to be like this now!). After liberation, the man went to Taiwan. The house was nationalized and allocated to Mianma station. Mianma station first divided the high houses and large rooms of the former capitalists into many small rooms as hotels, and later as dormitories for the staff. This old woman has lived here for 50 years. This is a courtyard with three doors and three entrances. The entrance is the theater, behind which is a patio. Once upon a time, there was a fountain, in which a yellow Jue tree was planted, and the water would come out by itself. Later, in order to build more houses, the pool was filled up and the trees were cut down. At the back is a yard. Now it's completely cut off from this side. I can't see the real face. The courtyard was surrounded by a wall, on which there was a layer of black tiles, which were later weathered away.
Grandma's room can see the plants on the wall. She likes them very much. She always told me that the courtyard is good in Feng Shui, without watering or fertilizing, and there are always plants like this and that on the wall, even in dog days I can't die in the sun. It can also grow yellow Jue trees. It's nice to see green when you open the window. Move away, you can't see it.
Cultural relic value
With a construction area of more than 2000 square meters, Xie's courtyard is a valuable historic building. The house has four entrances, and the entrance is like a sea of Marquises. It has two storeys on both sides of the house, and the hall is nearly 10 meters high. The interior pillars are all decorated with festive red paint, and the door beams and eaves are carved with gold thread and foil. Experts on cultural relics said that the master of the Xie family belonged to an enlightened gentry and sent one of his sons to France to study architecture. Therefore, Xie's courtyard is a wonderful work of architectural art, with high cultural value. So far, architectural artists and photographers at home and abroad often come to visit.
Xie's courtyard was built in the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty. Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was inhabited by residents and cooked in the corridor. The carved beams and painted buildings in the building were covered by oil and dust, and some bricks, wooden ladders, beams and columns were crumbling. In May 2008, the restoration work officially started. In order to restore the cultural relic compound, 50 Phoebe trees were specially transported from Vietnam. Old coffee came here on the 20th to prepare for shooting. As the managers of the restoration company from Shandong were preparing for the acceptance of the project, they came to Xie's compound again on the 21st and saw that the craftsmen of Shandong Qufu garden and ancient architecture company were still doing the final repair And cleaning. The old dilapidated courtyard has taken on a new look.
Architectural features
Xie's courtyard is a two-story building with yellow walls and grey tiles. The house is red and black, rich and grand. The door is still mottled and recognizable. The carvings around the house show up, and the gold foil on the surface is shining. The building of Xie's courtyard is very elegant. The main gate and the second gate are two stone gates. Entering the courtyard, a hollowed out carved "gate" divides the courtyard into the front hall and the back hall. The front hall is the place to welcome guests and discuss business, while the back hall is the place to rest. On both sides are the bedrooms. Because the stone gate and stone carving can only be cleaned and protected, high temperature physical technology such as steam is used to sterilize. The roof of Xie's compound is more than 9 meters high, and the columns also need to be so high. They brought nanmu from Vietnam and replaced dozens of columns. According to the craftsmen at the scene, the most difficult thing to restore is the gold foil wood carving. Although it has not been worn off, it is covered with oil and dust. Craftsmen can only clean it carefully, and the restoration work is quite laborious. In order to reappear the old feeling, the paint made by local method was used to repair the building.

On the west side of the old landlord, there was a side courtyard, which was not preserved after renovation The expensive relief flowers, the carved flowers on the eaves and windows, show the style of the past.
