Hongchiba alpine grassland, known as wanqingchi in ancient times, is located in the northwest edge of Wuxi County, Chongqing. With an area of nearly 20000 hectares and an altitude of 1800-2500 meters, it is composed of several karst troughs and valleys. The bottom of the trough valley is vast and flat. In summer, the grass is green and the flowers are beautiful. In winter, it is covered with silver. It is a northern scenery. In recent years, the Chinese Academy of Sciences has carried out a number of scientific research activities in this area. At present, there are 10000 sheep in the grassland, and the cultivation of Fritillaria, Panax quinquefolium and other Chinese medicinal materials has achieved initial results. People may not be familiar with Wuxi County, but Hongchiba is famous all over the world. It is a masterpiece of nature. There are the largest alpine grassland in South China, Hongchiba National Forest Park and the summer ice cave, which can be called a wonder in the world.

Hongchiba National Forest Park is known as "New Zealand of China". In ancient times, it was an inland lake. Due to geological changes, the earth's crust rose and formed a high mountain silting plain. It is a municipal scenic spot in Chongqing (now it is going to declare as a national scenic spot). It is located 80 kilometers east of Wuxi County in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of the Yangtze River and at the source of Daning River in the Three Gorges Golden Tourism Belt. It is a tourist attraction with strange scenery resources and excellent natural environment quality, with an altitude of more than 1800-2600 meters. In the park, the forest is vast, the grassland is vast, the mountains are full of clouds, and the peaks are full of nature, primitive and simple. The park has obvious vertical vegetation spectrum, colorful natural forest, vast and prosperous aerial forest sea, numerous streams and waterfalls. Hongchiba, known as "wanqingshan" in ancient times, is famous for its beautiful grassland with an area of more than 10000 mu. Located in the northwest of Wuxi County, Chongqing City, it is 84 km away from the county seat, with an altitude of 1800-2500 m and an average temperature of 17 ℃ in summer. The total area of Hongchiba is about 240 square kilometers, including 13400 hectares of subalpine and Zhongshan natural grassland, 10400 hectares of forest land, and 362000 mu of forest grassland. It is a good place to enjoy flowers in summer, snow and skating in winter.

It is said that in ancient times, Hongchiba was the territory of Wuyi, the son of Emperor Shun. According to textual research, it is also the hometown of Huang Xie, one of the "four gentlemen" in the Warring States period. At present, Hongchiba is the largest alpine natural grassland in southern China, known as "New Zealand of China". Hongchiba was a lake in ancient times. Later, because of the lake water undercurrent, it formed a high mountain silting plain 40 km long from east to west and 7 km wide from south to north.

In 2002, Hongchiba was approved as a national forest park. In 2011, on the basis of ten thousand mu of grassland, Wuxi County Government introduced more than 50 kinds of Alpine flowers, creating a gorgeous scene of "flower sea in the cloud and splendid Grassland", becoming the largest alpine flower sea scenic spot in the world. In the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn, Hongchiba is green and colorful, and every morning is boundless and boundless.

Scenic spots

The original name of Hongchiba is wanqingchi. There are three pools in the scenic area. It's strange that although they are not far apart, they are naturally different. The water of the three pools are red, green and black. The red pool water is like rosy clouds, the clear pool water is like indigo, and the black pool water is like ink. The current name of Hongchiba is derived from the red pool. Hongchiba grassland is composed of Hongchiba grassland, Tianzishan grassland and xiliuxi grassland, covering an area of more than 300000 mu. It is the first Alpine Grassland in China. In midsummer, the vast grassland, colorful and green summer ice cave in Hongchiba, with the highest temperature of only 10 degrees Celsius, is a rare summer resort; in autumn, the sky is clear, the bees fly and the butterflies dance, where the horse can gallop; in winter, the snow is covered with silver and the scenery of northern China, which is an ideal place for skating and snow skiing. Not far from the grassland, there is also the world-famous wonder, the summer ice cave. In midsummer, the water in the cave turns into ice, full of glaciers and thousands of postures. However, in the middle of winter, the ice melts, the water is warm, and the trickle is like a hot spring, which is still a mystery. This is also the birthplace of the four rivers. Director Fu, former deputy head of Wuxi County in charge of tourism and now director of the county people's Congress, told reporters that the four rivers with different flow directions, Tangxi River and Daning River, which are the source of Yunyang and the main tributaries of Daning River, Xixi River and Renhe River, all originate here.

According to the collection of Bashu scenic spots written by Cao Xuequan, a scholar from Sichuan Province in Ming Dynasty, during the Warring States period, Wuxi was the territory of Yong state. 1、 A sea of flowers in the clouds

Yunzhong flower sea view area is composed of 1500 mu of composition flower area, 3000 mu of flower decorated lawn area, 3000 mu of sparse forest grassland flower area, 2500 mu of organic ecological agriculture flower sea sightseeing area and leisure life entertainment area. It is the largest and most beautiful flower sea view in high altitude area in the world, and its area is seven times that of Japan's Beihai Road flower sea.

The journey of Yunzhong flower sea is about 13.5 kilometers. There are seven scenic spots, such as the shadow of flowers and trees, colorful ribbon, Jintai colorful, and Jinxiu flower street. There are more than 50 kinds of Alpine flowers, such as thiopicea, cosmopolitan chrysanthemum, golden pheasant, purple pinecone chrysanthemum, Dabin chrysanthemum, black heart chrysanthemum, Calendula officinalis, emerald and tianrenju. The flowering period is from May to October.

Linglong flower Hall: the tranquil lake water and colorful wild flowers make up the beautiful landscape of the main entrance. The flowers are as numerous and broad as the ocean, and the lake water is as mysterious and elegant as the mirror, which makes the tourists feel the kindness and tranquility of nature instantly and yearn for the scenic spot. This is the first stop for tourists to enter the scenic area. It is a natural "living room" composed of flowers and lake water.

The shadow of flowers and trees: there are green pines above to block out the sun, and colorful flowers below. Here, flowers and trees are interdependent and coexist harmoniously - wood is the sky of flowers, and flowers are enchanting because of wood. Under the mottled shadow of the trees and in the soil covered with pine needles, the flowers are in full bloom and the fragrance is strong. It is an unforgettable scenic spot in the scenic area.

Yan color ribbon: all kinds of flowers are covered in ribbons, colorful, gorgeous and mottled. Ribbons are like many silks spreading on the grass, forming a colorful ocean under the rolling mountains. The simple strip composition of nearly 100 mu, overwhelming domineering, gives people rich reverie, more like a huge ribbon, to the scenic area to increase the magnificent color and gorgeous.

Huadian pick green: color sleeve dipped in a few drops of goose yellow, hand pick a few wisps of green. The fragrance of flowers is everywhere, the flowers are in full bloom, the colorful scenery is dazzling, and the wild beauty is haunting.

Jintai colorful: in the original site layer upon layer of rising terrain, in different heights of the platform to plant different flowers, flower fields like chain like belt, layer upon layer, high and low scattered. The scenery varies with the seasons.

Flower street scenery show: This is a corridor of flowers, which is full of wild flowers on both sides. 2、 Zhalupan:

Zhalupan is a pot circle rock nest with an opening on one side, and three cliffs with a height of more than 100 meters form an oval circle bottom. The bottom of the circle is about 300 meters long and 50 meters wide. It is as green as grass and flat as a stone. One side of the opening is more than 20 meters wide, just like a huge door without crossbars. I don't know what Dynasty, people built a small gate about 2 meters high on the east side of the gate with a piece of stone, and the only wall left on the west side. The top of the cliff is luxuriant in vegetation, and the rock joints on the cliff are very complex. The west half circle is inclined laterally and twisted and flexed at various angles. The east half of the circle is longitudinal shale, while the rock surface at the bottom is relatively regular horizontal joints, which can be called "the fold of the earth ten million years ago".
