Longtan Temple
Longtan Temple has a long history. It is said that the name of Longtan Temple has something to do with Liu Chan, the master of Shu in the Three Kingdoms period. During the Shu Han period of the Three Kingdoms more than 1700 years ago, Liu Chan, who was the crown prince at that time, was fond of playing when he was young. One day he came back from Fenghuang mountain to perform martial arts. When he crossed the boundary of today's Longtan Temple, he saw a group of children playing in the pool, so he went to play in the pool and hung his clothes in the pool Next to the Chongyang tree. Because of this, when Liu Chan succeeded to the throne, people called this pool "Longtan", and the temple beside Longtan was also called "Longtan Temple". Now the temple "Longtan" is still there. At first glance, it's a pool. It's hard to imagine this story. And the chongyangmu tree that Liu Chan had dried still stands beside Longtan. Longtan Temple is a royal temple with a long history It has a history of 1800 years. In the early days of the construction of Longtan Temple, it was called "great temple", which was only used for the worship of the emperor's relatives and relatives. The existing cultural relics of "tie horse stake" in the temple in the Shu period confirmed the "Royal mark" of Longtan Temple.
Longtan Temple has four thousand year wonders and four thousand year wonders, four thousand year wonders: thousand year Longtan, thousand year old well, thousand year old tree, thousand year old turtle; four thousand year wonders: "thousand year old temple is not afraid of water", "thousand year old Longtan water remains unchanged", "thousand year old Longjing water comes out of itself", "thousand year old tree dragon incarnation".
Wonders in the temple
The Millennium Temple is not afraid of water: Although Longtan Temple is located in the east mountain of Chengdu, it still belongs to the irrigation area of Dujiangyan. Therefore, this place is densely covered with water networks, and the low-lying Longtan Temple is surrounded by a "U" shaped river outside the temple. No matter how the river rises, the main hall of Longtan Temple has never been flooded. The flood in Chengdu in 1981 inundated the mishiba at the entrance of Longtan Village, and the low-lying Longtan Temple was not spared. However, only the main hall kept the flood out of the threshold. The local people think that this place is the place where the dragon vein is located, and the baidaxiong hall is the foundation of Buddhism, so the flood does not dare to come near. Therefore, there is a spectacle of "millennium old temple is not afraid of water".
Longtan water remains unchanged for thousands of years: the "Longtan" in Longtan Temple is composed of two pools of water, arranged from east to west and distributed in the shape of dragons, with one end at the end and a stone bridge in the middle. Surprisingly, heavy rain does not cause waterlogging, and severe drought does not cause dryness. What's more strange is that no matter the torrential rain is pouring down, the current is turbulent, and this pool of water remains clear all the time. The common people's saying in the market is that there are Dragon Balls hidden in the Longtan water, so there is such a spectacle.
The water from the ancient well of a thousand years: it is said that the ancient well in Longtan Temple has a diameter of about two meters, which is quite magical. It is said that the well is connected with the moat of the imperial city. Whenever the Jinjiang River rises, spring water will come out of the well. This well is recorded in Kangxi's Chengdu Fu Zhi: "Longtan Temple is governed by Huayang, and there is an ancient octagonal well in the temple.".
Thousand year old tree dragon incarnation: in Longtan, there is a peninsula type natural soil, on which there is a Chongyang tree more than one thousand years old. It is said that it is the incarnation of the Dragon God, just to protect the dragon ball in Longtan. It is said that the temple was destroyed twice and the ancient tree died. In more than 30 years later, now the withered trees and luxuriant branches, known as the divine tree.
Giant tortoise
In addition, there is a giant turtle in the temple that has survived for more than 1800 years. Many people come to worship and pray for "auspicious life". It is said that the tortoise was brought by a resident. The resident said, "this giant tortoise has given him dreams many times." he said that "he had been in a cave for more than 1800 years. He wanted to move to the shulongchi, where the character of the dragon is clear at a glance, and settle down." so he sent it to Longtan Temple. That night, the tortoise gave him a dream and said, "I am very glad that you have realized it.".
Folklore
There is an old saying: "mountains are not high, but immortals are famous.". The water is not deep, the dragon is the soul. " The people around Longtan Temple are deeply blessed by the gods, at the same time, people also give Longtan Temple a lot of mysterious legends full of mystical color. The legend of Longtan Temple is amazing.
According to legend, a long time ago, there was a thousand year old real dragon in Longtan Temple. On a white and windy night, when a young monk got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, he vaguely heard the sound of water stirring in Longtan not far away. The little monk peeped through the moonlight. The scene in front of him really scared the little monk into a daze and made his vest cool. I saw a dragon, about ten battles long, with bluish Brown fish scales, a pair of antlers on its head, white whiskers on its neck, four sharp claws and a snake tail, meandering and stirring the water. It kept swimming in the water, spitting out a crystal clear night pearl from time to time, emitting bursts of light green halo In the early morning of the next day, the frightened monk told the monks and the host about the incident. When everyone came to the pool, the water was calm, and no abnormality was found. The monks shook their heads one after another. They thought that what the little monk said was nonsense or illusion. No one believed what the little monk said. Then, the frightened little monk left Longtan Temple, never came back, and everything returned to the usual calm.
One day a few years later, the noon sky above Longtan Temple was suddenly covered with dark clouds. Suddenly, there was a strong wind, lightning, thunder, wind and rain. After thousands of years of cultivation, the dragon finally ascended to heaven, leaped out of the pool, rolled up a huge column of water and whirled into the sky. The thousand year old dragon flying in the sky circled the water column for three times, then disappeared in the clouds. Many turtles, fish, shrimps and crabs in the pool also want to follow the real dragon to the heaven to become immortals. However, with the disappearance of the water column, they all fall from the sky and rain, and fall all around.
When the monks in Longtan Temple saw the scene, they remembered that what the little monk said was true.
