inscription
On May 23, 1951, the agreement between the Central People's government and the local government of Tibet on measures for the peaceful liberation of Tibet was signed in Beijing. The people's Liberation Army marched into Tibet to expel imperialist forces and liberate Tibet peacefully. Since then, Tibet has entered a new era from darkness to light, from backwardness to progress, from poverty to wealth, from autocracy to democracy, and from feudalism to openness.
In 1959, Tibet put down the rebellion, carried out democratic reform, abolished the feudal serf system of the unity of politics and religion, and millions of serfs turned over and became masters of the country. In 1965, the Tibet Autonomous Region was established to realize regional ethnic autonomy and embark on the socialist road. After the reform and opening up, the economy has developed rapidly, the culture is increasingly prosperous, the society is peaceful and progressive, and the people live and work in peace and contentment.
On the 50th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet, I would like to set up this monument to commemorate the martyrs and forever show the future generations.
