Nanhaizi Country Park

Nanhaizi park is one of the four country parks in Beijing, and also the largest wetland park in Beijing, with a total area of more than 11 square kilometers. Located on the south side of the South Fifth Ring Road in the northeast of Daxing District, between Daxing new town and Yizhuang new town, it is the first major ecological project for Beijing to implement the South City action plan. It is planned to be completed within three years.

On the morning of September 26, 2010, the park opened free to Beijing citizens and tourists.

Nanhaizi park will be completed in 2012, and 12000 mu of ecological landscape will be restored, of which the water surface accounts for one fifth. It will focus on the construction of wetland landscape, royal culture, elk protection, ecological leisure and other functional areas, highlight the historical and cultural characteristics, reproduce the style of the Royal Garden in the past, and make it echo the historical and cultural landscape of the Olympic Forest Park and the central urban area in the north of Beijing Another ecological and cultural pearl on the North-South central axis of Beijing.
