TANKOU site of lvzutang in Yihetuan
The Yihetuan lvzutang TANKOU site is located at 18 Hejia Hutong, ruyi'an street, Hongqiao District. It was first built in the eighth year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty (1433). In 1719, it was rebuilt into luzutang, which became a famous Taoist temple in Tianjin. It got its name from worshiping "luzu of Chunyang" (LV Dongbin).
The TANKOU site of the Yihetuan lvzutang was rebuilt many times, mainly including the mountain gate, the front hall, the back hall and the five immortals hall. In 1982, with the approval of the State Council, the site was listed as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

The Yihetuan lvzutang TANKOU site is located at 18 Hejia Hutong, ruyi'an street, Hongqiao District.
The TANKOU site of the Yihetuan lvzutang was built in 1433, the eighth year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt into lvzutang in 1719 and became a famous Taoist temple in Jinmen. It was named after the worship of "Chunyang Lvzu" (lvdongbin). Later, it was rebuilt many times, mainly including the Mountain Gate, front hall, back hall, wuxiantang, etc.
In 1900, the boxer anti imperialist Patriotic Movement broke out. In May, Cao Futian, the leader of the boxer, led thousands of people into Tianjin. He chose Lu Zutang as the base of the Boxer Movement and established the general altar to fight against the Eight Power Allied forces. Later, Liu Chengxiang, Lin hei'er, and Zhang Decheng, the leader of the "first group in the world" in Duliu Town, often went here to worship the altar and gather together to discuss how to fight against the Eight Allied forces and command the Boxer Movement.
During the months of fighting between the Yihetuan and the imperialist invading army, the TANKOU site of lvzutang became one of the centers of the activities of the Yihetuan in Tianjin. In 1982, with the approval of the State Council, the site was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
