Qiankun Bay (commonly known as Hehuai Bay) is a natural landscape of the Yellow River Channel in Shanxi Province. If you look into the Qiankun Pavilion, you can see the undulating mountains of the qinjin gorge. The Yellow River is running among the ravines. It is like a giant dragon winding. The radian of Qiankun Bay is more than 320 degrees. It looks like a picture of Taiji. It is a marvelous work of nature and a rare human beauty. The splendid Qiankun Bay is known as the first bay of the Yellow River in the world.

Heaven and earth Bay

Qiankun Bay is located in hehuili village, dashiyao Township, Yonghe County, Shanxi Province and 53 kilometers south of Yanchuan County, Shaanxi Province. Qiankun Bay is a natural Taiji map. It is a natural landscape along the ancient Yellow River Valley in Qin and Jin Dynasties. It is also the most beautiful and spectacular scenic spot in Yonghe, Shanxi Province.

In 2005, it became the fourth batch of national geoparks.

The Yellow River, the mother river that has been flowing for 1.6 million years, has formed a "s" shape and a mysterious shape when it flows through hehuili village, houshanli village, Yonghe County, Shanxi Province and Dacheng, Xiaocheng village and fuyihe village, tugang Township, Yanchuan County, Shaanxi Province.

When you come to the top of Shenglan mountain, you can see from afar that the mountains are undulating and the gullies are crisscross. You can have a panoramic view of Qiankun Bay in the shape of Taiji. The curve radian is more than 320 degrees, which can be called the first bay of the Yellow River in the world.

It is shaped like Taiji yin yang fish, surrounded by lush green mountains. There are people living on the mountain, and the smoke is curling. On the grass bank, a group of cattle are drinking water by the river. Qiankun Bay is not only magnificent, but also a picture of life on the Loess Plateau.

She is just like the "Hetu" and "Luoshu" that the Jade Emperor lost in the hilly and gully areas of the Loess Plateau in the Tianting, which is similar to the natural Taiji map created by heaven and earth.

There are ninety-nine bends of the Yellow River in the world. The five great bends formed in Yanchuan are collectively called Hequ, whose scientific name is shequ. Serpentine is a kind of geological landform which is formed by river erosion and is like a snake. Yanchuan Yellow River snakehead is the largest, best and densest snakehead group in the mainstream of China, which is a rare landscape. It extends from the north to the south, followed by whirlpool Bay, Yanshui Bay, Fushi Bay, Qiankun Bay and Qingshui Bay.

In 2005, Qiankun Bay passed the examination of the Ministry of land and resources and was approved as the fourth batch of national geoparks.

The peculiar landscape of Qiankun Bay has left an ancient myth. It is said that in ancient times, the Fuxi family of Taihao "looked up at the sky, looked down at the earth, looked up at the birds and animals, and looked down on the earth. They were close to the body and far away from the things, so they began to make eight trigrams to understand the virtue of the gods and the feelings of all things.".

In the zuohe road of Dawan, a shoe shaped sand dune, called shoe Island, is a rare island in the Yellow River. There are plenty of waterfowl here. It has become a paradise for birds without human interference. Up to now, the species of shoelace Island bird is still unknown, waiting for experts to investigate. A closer look at the heaven and earth Pavilion shows that the underground is a picture of Yin Yang Tai Chi paved with large stones, corresponding to the heaven and earth bay at the foot of the mountain. There are two lines of characters engraved on the pillars of the pavilion: "heaven and earth create Qiankun Bay, Xihuang deduces Taiji map". According to the legend, Fuxi's ancestors looked up at the sky in Qiankun Bay and invented the theory of Taiji Bagua Yin Yang theory. Later generations are here to visit their ancestors and pray for blessings. The adjacent clear water bay has the same peculiar and mysterious color. It is like a huge straw hat on the Yellow River, with beautiful scenery. It is said that Qingshuiwan was the place where Dayu lived.

The jujube in Qiankun Bay is also famous. Among them, the best producing area is hehuili village, where the jujube is big, thick, small, insect free and sugar rich. A small bite can pull out a long piece of sugar, with an annual output of hundreds of thousands of kilograms.

In the early winter of 1997, Jin Zhilin, a famous scholar of national folk culture and professor of the Central Academy of fine arts, accompanied by Feng Shanyun, a famous contemporary painter and well-known person in Northern Shaanxi, visited Qiankun bay for the first time.

Professor Jin Zhilin looked at the Qinjin Grand Canyon of the Yellow River and the S-shaped turn of the Yellow River, and said to Feng Shanyun and other entourage: "I have been to many places in the world and seen the world famous natural and cultural landscapes, but I have never been so excited as I am today. In my opinion, the pyramids of ancient Egypt, the Grand Canyon of Colorado and other famous landscapes, compared with the S-shaped turn on the Grand Canyon of the Yellow River, the Qin and Jin Dynasties, are just like a wizard in a small way. Professor Jin, who was staying in the government of tugang township that night, was still passionate and happily wrote "if the national spirit is not seen, the sun will shine, the loess hills and the river will bend nine times and eighteen times".

Since then, scholars and painters who have come here to study, enjoy scenery and sketch include Chen Mo, Professor of Beijing Film and doctoral supervisor, Qiao Xiaoguang, director of the Department of folk art of the Central Academy of fine arts, and Yang Sen and his wife, Professor of Munich University and scholar of Chinese national culture. Subsequently, more and more scholars from Beijing, cultural celebrities and foreign scholars came to visit and enjoy the scenery.
