Yubeng Village

--Yubeng Village is located at the foot of lower Wuzi peak of niancimu peak in Meili Snow Mountain. It is divided into upper Yubeng Village and Yubeng Village. The distance between them is about one kilometer. Yubeng leads to Binghu and Xiaonong base camp, Yubeng leads to Shenpu and Shenhu.

--Yubeng Village is the only way to turn the Meili Snow Mountain. At present, there is no road, so you have to walk or ride a mule to enter the village. Since ancient times, there is only one post road leading to the outside world, which can be called "paradise".

----To enter Yubeng Village, you have to go downhill for more than 20 kilometers and downhill for 18 kilometers. When you get to Nanzong pass, it means that the uphill has been finished and you have to go downhill for another 18 kilometers.

--Yubeng is one of the best places to shoot the scenery of shennv peak. When the weather is fine, the best shooting locations are Nanzong pass, Meili Inn and hiker's house on Yubeng, and Shenpu Inn on Yubeng.

--Yubeng Village tickets are included in the Meili Snow Mountain pass and cannot be purchased separately. Buy tickets at the ticket office of Meili scenic spot near Feilai temple, wunongding, Xidang hot spring and benzilan.

Kawagebo is the first of the eight sacred mountains in Tibetan area, known as the "Mountain God", and Meili Snow Mountain is the alias for him. Infrastructure construction

Before September 2012, it was the last natural village without electricity in Yunnan Province to rely on household small hydro electric or solar power generation. On September 28, 2012, the 10kV power grid in Yubeng Village was fully completed and put into operation. Cell phones have signals, too.

Related Legends

It is said that the rain avalanche was not known to the outside world for a long time. Later, after the Meili Snow Mountain, an old man often went to Xidang village by the Lancang River to borrow food. No one in Xidang village knew where the old man came from, so someone followed him, but he disappeared as he walked. Later, someone came up with a way. When the old man came back to borrow food, Xidang villagers said, "this time, I won't lend you highland barley or wheat. I'll lend you millet." When they helped the old man carry his pocket on his shoulder, they made a hole in it. Xiaomi is flowing all the way, and the villagers follow closely to find a huge stone. Xiaomi is gone. They are very strange. They lift up the boulder, but find a village below. Yubeng is discovered by the outside world

Peculiar folk custom

Due to long-term isolation from the outside world, Yubeng Village still retains many simple Tibetan folk customs. Among them, what makes the outside world feel most strange is that the brother only marries a wife and does not separate his family. In Yubeng Village, donkey friends came across many such examples. Later, they finally understood what was going on. It turns out that Yubeng villagers advocate that there is only one hostess in a family. After the elder brother marries his sister-in-law and goes home, as long as the brothers do not separate the family, the younger brother can treat his sister-in-law as his wife, and the family will live like this forever.

However, once this happens, a "reality" problem arises again. If a brother has only one wife, whose child is born? According to the donkey friends, many families will solve this problem. Last year, the elder brother was at home, and the younger brother went out to work. Next year, the younger brother came back, and the elder brother went out. In this way, it's not easy to find out. However, even if they are not biological fathers, the children will call their brothers "dads", regardless of intimacy or estrangement.

Travel strategy

Transportation: after swimming in Mingyong glacier, head south to Xidang village, and then ride a horse from Xidang village for about 6 hours to Yubeng Village. Along the way, you can see many Tibetans and hikers. You can also take a shuttle bus from Deqin County to Xidang. You can see the snow mountains on the way. If it's late, you can go to Xidang
