There are five main rooms in the courtyard, with one ear room on the left and one ear room on the left and one ear room on the right. There are three East and three West rooms with front porches. The building is three rooms in width, with double rolls, a front porch, a hard tile hill and a clear water ridge. The interior is decorated with blue gauze cabinet, glass mirror and other eaves. On both sides of the main entrance room, there is a corridor extending forward from both wings, half surrounding the front courtyard. There are assorted windows on the inner wall of each corridor, and upside down lintels and stool railings on the outer side. It extends northward to the backyard and connects with the back room. According to the old saying, there used to be rockery and pool in the third entrance courtyard behind, and there was a ancestral temple on the east side. Now there are only three back rooms and platform porches on both sides in the north. Now, the original Chengfu gate has been changed into three rooms, and two small doors have been opened in the west of the original inverted room, one is No. 37, the other is No. 35. The main buildings in the courtyard are basically unchanged, except that the eastern ancestral hall and the rocks and pools in the backyard of the east road have been converted into houses. The interior decoration of the main house of the West courtyard is basically in good condition. Now the west road is the dormitory of a unit, and the east road is the office of a unit. In 1984, the house was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing.
Historical evolution
Wanrong's former residence is commonly known as "Niangniang mansion". Wanrong was born in 1906, married Puyi in 1922, and lived here for 16 years. She belongs to guobuluo family of Zhengbai banner, and her full name is guobuluo Wanrong. Wanrong's ancestors had never been a great official, and her father, Guo bro Rongyuan, had no prominent position. This house was built by Guo bro Changshun, the great grandfather of Wanrong. It used to be an ordinary house. After Wanrong was canonized as "Queen", her father was granted the third class Chengen Duke, and the house was upgraded to Chengen mansion, which was "the father borrowed the daughter's light". In order to facilitate the entrance and exit of Fengyu, who welcomed the queen during the wedding, the gate of the mansion and the front yard were expanded to form the present scale. It has been 83 years since Wanrong entered the palace. The magnificent gate of Maoer Hutong has disappeared. In the original gate position, there were three houses. Two small doors were opened in the west of Maoer Hutong, which are now managed and used by two different units. There are 4 courtyards on the 37th, and there are 7 inverted rooms with hand reading Gallery in the first one. In the second entrance, there was a decorative door, which was old and the red paint fell off so that the color could not be seen. It seemed that it had not been repaired, and the piers on both sides were well preserved. This vertical flower gate is different from others. It has two ridges to show its status. Now the second entrance has become one of its own, and the third entrance has to pass through the corridor on the west side. The third entrance is shangfangyuan, which has five main rooms. It is the residence of Wanrong. It is on the top of the ridge of a hard hill with tile and clear water. It has a corridor in the front and a mansion in the back. It is very old. The courtyard is very quiet with flowers and trees. The house is now rented by a Russian named Alexandria. He wanted to repair it, but he was worried about the damage to the cultural relics, so he never finished it. It is said that there are seven back rooms in the fourth courtyard, but they can not be found. After analysis, they may have been assigned to other courtyards.
Both houses are not open to the public, but tourists from home and abroad often come to visit them. Many people want to find the graceful figure left by the "last queen" from the huge palace mirror, or witness the rise and fall of the Qing Empire. Whether from the perspective of history or architecture, these two houses are worth watching and tasting carefully.
historical background
In November 1931, Puyi secretly left Tianjin alone and fled to the Northeast under the deception and planning of Japanese imperialism. Until two months later, accompanied by Puyi's two younger sisters and brother PuJie, Wanrong transferred from Tianjin to Dalian and then to Lushun to reunite with Puyi. But at this time, Puyi had become a puppet at the mercy of Japanese imperialism, and she did not expect to fall into the trap of conspiracy. In Changchun, everything has to be arranged by the Japanese. Even her every move has been monitored, and she can't even step out of the gate. Wanrong can't bear the humiliation of the Japanese and is determined to escape from this hell on earth.
In the Memoirs of Gu Weijun, the first foreign minister of the former Kuomintang, there is such a paragraph: "we stayed in Dalian for one night, and an interesting thing happened. One of my entourage used to be a policeman in Beijing and was one of my four guards. Because of the bombing in 1925, he stayed for my bodyguard. He's north
