Harbin Museum
Harbin museum is the first Municipal Museum in Harbin. It is located at 1296 Jingjiang West Road, Daoli District (the intersection of Qunli Fifth Avenue). The exhibition hall covers an area of 500 square meters. It was officially opened to the outside world in December 1994.
The main task of Harbin museum is to collect ancient and modern historical relics and art treasures in Harbin, study their historical, artistic and scientific values, publicize Harbin through exhibition means, and establish the image of Harbin. Harbin museum now has a large collection of cultural relics reflecting the historical development of the region. These collections vividly reflect the political, economic and cultural contacts and exchanges between the ancestors living in this black land and the Central Plains, as well as the rapid development of today's society. At present, Harbin museum is trying to open up a new way to plan a new cultural palace that can fully reflect the ancient history of Harbin, the history of urban development and the remarkable achievements made after the reform and opening up. There are 14000 pieces of all kinds of ancient works of art, from the primitive society to modern times.

Harbin Museum (Harbin Art Museum) is located at No. 1296, Jingjiang West Road, Daoli District, Harbin City (the intersection of the Fifth Avenue). It was officially built in November 1994. In 2005, the institution was reformed into Harbin Museum, which is subordinate to Harbin cultural relics management station. It is a fully funded public institution with a section level unit. Now it has a display department and a group work department with 20 staff, one curator and one deputy curator.
Since its establishment in 1994, Harbin Museum has continuously launched exhibitions with regional characteristics according to the collection characteristics and construction direction, combined with the regional characteristics of Harbin. "Harbin Art Garden Exhibition" this exhibition mainly uses pictures, words and miniature landscape to show the historical achievements of Harbin in the past century and the major events in the history of Harbin.
The exhibition of Harbin Qing Dynasty clothing exhibition is divided into embroidery pieces, clothing and other topics, with 100 exhibits. The exhibition expounds the achievements of Chinese clothing culture through the process, style and techniques of embroidery, reflecting the development and characteristics of clothing culture.
Harbin porcelain exhibition introduces the types of porcelain and their representative works, as well as the different crafts and characteristics of porcelain. There are 50 exhibits.
The exhibition of "Harbin Bronze Ware Exhibition" introduces the smelting history and technology of Harbin area based on the types of bronzes unearthed in Harbin area and their representative works, as well as the different processes and characteristics of Liao and Jin bronzes. There are 100 exhibits.
Over the years, collections exhibitions have been held such as Harbin Centennial review exhibition, liberation exhibition, Harbin 60th Anniversary Photo Exhibition, Deng Xiaoping photo exhibition, Tianjin Harbin urban photography art exhibition, the second national comic book collection exhibition, friendship and peace - Chinese veterans painting and calligraphy works Harbin tour exhibition, etc.
In July 2007, Harbin Bank cooperated with Harbin Bank to set up a non-profit Coin Museum. The city museum provided more than 100000 pieces of coin collections, including more than 1000 pieces of fine products. Harbin Bank invested one million yuan to decorate and supplement some collections, and was responsible for daily safety management. The exhibition arrangement is open. In the construction of the exhibition hall, it is the first time to realize the innovative practice model of jointly running the hall with the help of social forces; it shows more than 100000 pieces of ancient Chinese coins, Harbin modern currency coins and new China coins, which are integrated with knowledge and appreciation, condenses rich cultural connotation, reflects the social life and political changes at that time, carries the vicissitudes of history, and confirms the changes of the times, It provides another cultural and leisure place for Harbin citizens, and carries out free identification activities in the museum on the 5th and 25th of each month.
In 2007, Harbin Coin Museum won the best Creativity Award of Harbin municipal government.
Harbin museum now has a collection of 14000 ancient works of art from primitive society to modern times. The collection covers a wide range of Arts and crafts, including calligraphy, painting, stele, ceramics, coins, seals, Qing Dynasty furniture, clothing embroidery, bronzes, jade, bamboo and wood ivory carving, etc.
As a historical and cultural education base for the ideological and moral construction of minors, the museum has given full play to its characteristics and held various activities such as art appreciation and competitions. Thousands of minors participate in activities every year. And primary and secondary schools have established a co construction education network, and Nangang District community has established a moral education base.
