origin
Lisao stele is the representative work of Qu Yuan, a poet of the state of Chu. It is also a great work in the history of Chinese literature. The whole poem consists of 373 sentences and 2490 words. The inscriptions are written in the whole poem Lisao, which was copied by Wei Ti in 1913 when Mao Zedong was studying in Hunan First Normal School.
allusion
Both Mao Zedong and Qu Yuan are outstanding statesmen and thinkers with high attainments in literature. Although they were born more than 2230 years apart, Qu Yuan and his works had a profound influence on Mao Zedong. Qu Yuan's strong patriotic enthusiasm and the pursuit of light and ideal had a great attraction to young Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong admired both Qu Yuan and his works. In the spring of 1913, at the age of 20, Mao Zedong mainly read Qu Yuan's Lisao and other poems when he was studying in the fourth Normal School of Hunan Province (merged with the first normal school in February 1914). In his 47 page notes "lecture notes", he copied the full text of Lisao and Jiuge in small block letters from the front page to 11 pages, and put them on the "top of heaven" of the text, He wrote down the summary of each section of Lisao, and at the same time, drew and annotated many poems.
Lisao is not only Qu Yuan's representative work, but also the first long political lyric in the history of Chinese literature. The poems fully reflect Qu Yuan's patriotic feelings, as well as his indomitable fighting spirit and his lifelong pursuit of seeking for the realization of "beautiful politics". This is consistent with Mao Zedong's ambition and ambition in his youth. After entering the middle age, Mao Zedong applied Qu Yuan's spirit to the education of cadres, encouraging people to work hard and make progress. In 1957, when Wu Lengxi of Xinhua news agency was transferred to work for the people's daily, Mao Zedong talked to him: "when you go to work for the people's daily, you should be fully prepared for the worst situation. You should have the spirit of not afraid of dismissal, not afraid of expulsion from the party, not afraid of divorce, not afraid of imprisonment, not afraid of beheading. With these five preparations, we will dare to seek truth from facts and adhere to the truth. " Mao Zedong cited Qu Yuan and Sima Qian as examples and said, "a communist should stand up to being wrongly punished, which may be beneficial to himself. After Qu Yuan was exiled, there was Li Sao, and Sima Qian was indignant when he was sentenced to corruption
The inscription of Lisao stele written by Mao Zedong not only expresses Mao Zedong's love for the East Lake, but also sets off the rich Chu culture of the East Lake.
Signature
The last signature on the left side of the inscription is "Yongzhi". Why is it not "Runzhi"? Well, there's a little story here.
In the spring of 1913, Mao Zedong, who was only 20 years old, studied in the fourth Normal School of Hunan Province (merged with the first normal school in February 1914).
At that time, Mao Zedong read Qu Yuan's "Lisao" and other poems, deeply moved by it, so he made great efforts to write the full text of "Lisao" in neat small regular script.
At the time of last signature, because his pen name was "Yongzhi", it was later that he used the pen name "Runzhi". Therefore, the signature is "Yongzhi".
