Chen Zuoxin's tomb
Chen Zuoxin's tomb is the cemetery of Chen Zuoxin, a modern democratic revolutionary. It is located on Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province. Chen Zuoxin's tomb is in the southeast corner of Huangxing tomb.
On October 22, 1911, Chen Zuoxin led the new army to capture Changsha. On October 31, the new military management led Mei Xin to launch a mutiny. Chen Zuoxin and Jiao Dafeng were killed at the same time. They were buried here in 1912.
Chen Zuoxin's tomb covers an area of about 145 square meters. The tomb is round in shape, with a granite base and a top covered with triad. The diameter of the bottom of the mound is 3.2 meters and the height is 0.3 meters. It is surrounded by schists. At the back of the tomb, there are three stone steles in Qiyang. The main stele is engraved with 19 characters, 1.5 meters high and 0.56 meters wide, and the left and right attached steles are 1.3 meters high and 0.42 meters wide, respectively engraved with the words "GuZi Jili" and "Gudan in November of the first year of the Republic of China". In front of the tomb, a bronze statue was cast and destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution", with a stone path leading to the cemetery. It was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province in 1983.
Chen Zuoxin (about 1885-1911), a modern bourgeois revolutionist and democratic revolutionary, was known as Zhenmin. He is from Liuyang, Changsha. Guangxu 31 years (1905) into Hunan bianmu school, after joining the league. After graduation, he served as platoon leader in the 49th section of Hunan new army mixed Association. In 1910, Chen Qiang was expelled from the army for mobilizing and leading Chen Qiang to launch an uprising. After carrying out revolutionary activities in the new army, he and Jiao Dafeng organized the Hunan Branch of the alliance. After the outbreak of Wuchang Uprising in 1911, he and Jiao Dafeng launched the Changsha uprising, established the Hunan military government and promoted it as the deputy governor. Xuan was killed in the mutiny launched by the constitutionalists.
