The Tianwen terrace is originated from Quyuan's Tianwen. It is located in the Miao village of Dehang in Jishou, Xiangxi, Hunan Province. The road to the Tianwen terrace is rather rugged. There is no cable car or winding mountain road, and it all depends on walking.

Asking about the origin of Tiantai, it is said that Qu Yuan was framed by treacherous officials and exiled to Yuanli area. Qu Yuan was especially intoxicated with the picturesque scenery of the Lishui River, and constantly praised in his poems. Hou dengwen made the famous Tian Wen. Qingyan mountain (now Wulingyuan) in the north of Lishui River is the real fairyland in the world, so I took Chanjuan to drive a boat and went against Suoxi, a loushui man, into the hinterland of Qingyan mountain. On that day, when they arrived at the entrance of Baipu Gorge (today's monkey garden), they suddenly saw an independent stone peak in the distance, which was higher than the cloud surface. There was a platform on it, the size of two rooms, but the clouds were steaming and the purple air was rushing into the bullfight. Qu Yuan was surprised and asked where this was. The fisherman told him, "this is the place where immortals ascend to heaven." Qu Yuan said angrily, "I'm going to heaven to ask the emperor about many things. Let's go!" and he jumped out of the boat. The fisherman said, "mortals can't get there. If you want to climb the 9999 level stone ladder, do you dare?" Qu Yuan said, "I'll go up even the 100000 million level ladder!"

Deeply moved, the fisherman used a wooden paddle to cut open the thorns in front of him to drive away the poisonous snakes and scare off the beasts. They went through the South Gate of heaven, across wolongling, and came to the foot of the stone peak. The stone peak is surrounded by a knife to cut off the wall. There is no ladder. Qu Yuan stroked his sleeve, grasped the stone crack and the ancient vine, and climbed up step by step. She was so scared that Chan Juan only called her husband to be careful. Strange to say, at this time, suddenly a group of mountain birds came around Qu Yuan. They flapped the wind with colorful wings. Qu Yuan was like flying in the clouds, and then fell lightly on the stone platform. On the stone platform, the ladder to heaven was taken away by the gods. Not disheartened, Qu Yuan raised his head to the sky and cried out:

"God! God! There are many things I can't understand. If you are really smart, please answer me!" so he asked tearfully

"At the beginning of the ancient times, who preached? Why did it come from? Who can be the best? Feng Yi is the only image. How can he know it? What is the time when it is clear and dark? What is the origin of the combination of yin and Yang... "

That loud voice, through the clouds, straight up nine days. After listening to Qu Yuan's interrogation, the emperor of heaven was stunned and speechless. He immediately ordered to close the South Gate of heaven. Then he sent the cloud God to lay thick clouds and ordered the rain master to pour a rainstorm to make Fengbo blow a strong wind. All of a sudden, there was a strong wind, thunder in the electricity, heavy rain, and darkness. Qu Yuan's hat was blown off, his robe was wet, and his sword was bent. However, he stood there like a rock and looked up at the sky for a trombone. His voice resounded from all over the world.

In order to cover his own eyes and ears, the emperor of heaven frightened Qu Yuan, who asked about the sky, for three days and three nights he blew the wind, thundered for three days and three nights, and rained for three days and three nights. However, Qu Yuan still kept on asking. He asked Heaven, earth, man, God, ghost, good luck, evil, beauty, ugliness, loyalty, adultery, change of nature, mystery of hell, chaotic world and unfair society

Qu Yuan's cry startled the mountain birds flying in the mountains of Qingyan mountain. They gathered from all directions and spread their beautiful wings to protect Qu Yuan from the wind and rain. So Qu Yuan asked for three days and three nights in a row, and asked more than 36180 questions. Finally, with tears streaming down his face, Qu Yuan asked:

"Where is the hidden cave? Where is the cloud? What is the master of Jing Xun? What can I say if I have changed my mind?"

The emperor of heaven was moved by Qu Yuan's patriotism and sincerity, so he drank away the storm and thunder, opened the South Gate of heaven, and finally the hundred Li Qingyan mountain saw the light again.

Qingyan mountain after rain, the sea of clouds rolling, hit the cliffs of Shifeng, this spectacle, later known as the "West Sea.". At this time, the fisherman saw Qu Yuan carrying Chan Juan to step on the waves and float towards the mang forest of Tianzi mountain.

It is said that Qu Yuan later wrote down more than 180 questions about asking the sky, which became the eternal masterpiece "Tian Wen"; the stone platform he asked the sky, later called "Tian Wen Tai", is now the most famous scenic spot in SUOXIYU "Tian Tai".
