Tomb of Jiang Yiwu
The tomb of Jiang Yiwu is located above the banshanting in Yuelu Mountain, Changsha City, Hunan Province, and about 20 meters below the main gate of Lushan temple. It is the tomb of Jiang Yiwu, leader of Wuchang Uprising and modern democratic revolutionary.
In October 1913, Jiang Yiwu died in Guilin, and in September 1916, he was moved from Guilin. The tomb area is an open flat land, covering an area of about 400 square meters.
On October 10, 1983, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province.
The tomb of Jiang Yiwu is located about 20 meters below the main gate of Lushan temple and above the banshanting in Yuelu Mountain of Changsha City. In September 1916, he was moved here from Guilin. The tomb area is an open flat land, covering an area of about 400 square meters. In the middle of the tomb, there are four levels of granite platform, on which there is a square top stele tower, about 4 meters high. It is made of granite and inlaid with a white marble tombstone, 2 meters high and 0.7 meters wide. The center of the stele faces east, with six characters of "Tomb of Jiang Gong Yiwu" in regular script. There is a stone mountain road in front of the tomb. After the tomb, there are green pines and red maple trees. Hunan Cultural relics protection unit.
Jiang Yiwu (1885-1913), born in Lixian County, Hunan Province, is a modern Chinese democratic revolutionist. He joined the league in 1905. He organized and launched the Wuchang Uprising in 1911 and took the post of wartime commander in chief at the end of November. In 1913, he served as an envoy of Hubei and Henan provinces and sent troops to attack Yuan Shikai. He was arrested in Quanzhou of Guangxi in October and died in Guilin on the 9th of that month. It was moved here in 1916. The tomb was announced as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 1956.
