Liyuan Theater is located in Hufangqiao Qianmen Hotel, Xuanwu District. Founded jointly by Beijing Opera Theater and Qianmen Hotel, it opened in October 1990, mainly for opera performance. The theater consists of three parts: Performance Hall, exhibition hall and exhibition hall. The performance hall is composed of theater stage and auditorium. The stage is 8 meters high, 12 meters wide and 7 meters deep, with couplets written by dramatist Weng Dianhong and Liu Bingsen on both sides. Around the auditorium, there are 8 large-scale Peking Opera facial makeup and 14 Peking opera character painted screens, with three ticket areas and 800 seats in total, which are similar to the customs of the traditional old opera garden. The audience can enjoy the opera performance and enjoy the various kinds of opera Beijing snacks and famous tea.
