Reasons for site selection
The location of Changsha Ecological Zoo in Muyun street is based on the following considerations: firstly, the superior geographical location. Muyun street is about 15 kilometers away from the center of Changsha City, 26 kilometers away from Zhuzhou City and 20 kilometers away from Xiangtan city. This ideal location, which is almost located in the middle of the three cities, can effectively radiate the three cities and expand the source of tourists after the completion of the Ecological Zoo. The second is the perfect transportation network. From the center of Changsha City, you can go directly to Muyun street along Furong South Road (former Changsha Avenue), from Zhuzhou City, you can use Changsha Zhuzhou Expressway to reach Furong South Road, from Xiangtan City Center, you can use Changsha Expressway to reach Changsha Avenue. Third, there is a good natural environment. The construction area of the Ecological Zoo belongs to the hilly land with low elevation. The vegetation in the area is rich, including evergreen trees such as pine, camphor and oak. Agricultural ponds are widely distributed in the valley, and there are a lot of sandy land in the mountains. The good natural environment enables tourists to experience the diversity of nature in the interesting viewing.

Giant panda Pavilion
The giant panda Pavilion is one of the landmark buildings in the pedestrian area, with an area of 370 square meters, consisting of indoor venues and outdoor activity fields. A long bridge runs through the outdoor playground, where people can get closer to our national treasure giant panda.
There are two sub adult giant pandas "Beibei" and "Shuangshuang" introduced from Chengdu Panda Base in Sichuan. They are docile, charming and amusing, and are deeply loved by people. It is estimated that in a short period of time, 10 giant pandas will migrate to our park for a long time. The park is also actively seeking the support of the State Forestry Administration to build the "Central China base of China Giant Panda Research Institute" and cooperate with Chengdu, Sichuan Province to carry out scientific research and breeding of giant pandas.
There is a giant panda souvenir shop in the giant panda indoor exhibition hall. Tourist friends can take home such souvenirs as panda toys and stationery with exquisite workmanship and high quality.
It is said that in ancient times, the giant panda was the mount of Huanglong. It often carried Huanglong around to exorcise evil spirits. One day, Huang long predicted that great changes would take place in the earth. At that time, the mountains and the earth would collapse and the sea would be full of vicissitudes, and it would be difficult for carnivores to survive. So he advised the giant panda to be a vegetarian. The docile giant panda follows Huang Long's advice and eats bamboo instead. Later, due to geological changes, Saber Toothed tigers and mammoths, which belong to the same carnivore as pandas, gradually became extinct due to difficulty in finding food. Only giant pandas who changed to eat bamboo adapted to the environment and survived, becoming rare treasures and living fossils of paleontology.
