Yingen building
Yingen tower, located in the east gate of the ancient city of Xiantao City, Hubei Province, is located between the big lotus pond and the small lotus pond, surrounded by water on all sides and with beautiful scenery. It is the site of the political office of Diliang, the governor of Fuzhou in the Tang Dynasty. Now the building is rebuilt by the local government in 1998, covering an area of 800 square meters. At the same time, Shuanglian bridge, renfengmen archway and Diliang Gong Wenzheng Pavilion were also built.
Historical evolution
In the fourth year of Tang Dynasty (688), Diliang Gong came to Fuzhou (today's Mianyang City) to be a governor. He attached great importance to agriculture. According to the characteristics of frequent floods in Fuzhou, he mobilized the people to dredge the ditches, harness the river course, build a square meter gate to prevent waterlogging, and strengthened the embankment to resist floods, thus ensuring a good harvest of agriculture. At the same time, he also vigorously revitalized commerce and trade, developed economy, and achieved "prosperous business across the world, and prosperous financial resources across the three rivers." In order to make the people live and work in peace and contentment, he also cleaned up the disputes and eliminated the tyrant. He often said: "officials can only remember three things: honesty, prudence and diligence.". Therefore, we should always pay attention to self-discipline and keep the sufferings of the people in mind. He often goes to Bagua square to investigate the people's situation and discuss political affairs, which is deeply supported by the people. People call him a kind, honest and loving parent official. Later, people in Mianyang missed Diliang's achievements. They built an octagonal pavilion on the south side of the west end of the eight trigrams between the big and small lotus pools. On the plaque, it read "the governor of Tang Dynasty asked about the political office.". In the third year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, it was built as a building, covered with tubular tiles. It was renamed "Yingen building", which means to be grateful to the public.
Di Lianggong (607-700), also known as di Renjie, was born in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. He was a minister of the Tang Dynasty. When Wu Zetian ascended the throne, the Duke of Di Liang accused Yan Zhijian of preventing Wu Zetian from killing innocent people and trying to pass the Tang Dynasty to the Wu family, which caused Wu Zetian's dissatisfaction. In addition, he was framed by Lai Junchen, so that he was demoted to Peng Zeling and transferred to Wei Zhou governor, you Zhou governor and Fu Zhou governor. In the first year of Shengong (697), he was reunited. Later, he was granted the title of "Duke of Liang".
Mianyang east gate, formerly known as Dadongmen, was renamed "renfengmen" in memory of Diliang. After that, all the county officials, state officials and government officials who came to Mianyang took a boat to climb the official road of Tongzhou River, walk through the red flower dyke, cross the eight trigrams square meters, go through Diliang Gong to ask the political office, and enter the city from the "benevolent wind gate", in order to follow Diliang Gong's benevolent government and establish the benevolent wind.
In 1998, Mianyang Town Committee and government built Yingen tower, Shuanglian bridge and Renfeng gate archway on the site of Diliang government office. The two pillars read "two water with bright mirror, two bridges with rainbow". In 2003, Diliang Gong Wen Zheng pavilion was built on the east side of the original Bagua square meter.
