Cangyuan

Cangyuan, located in the southeast of Baotu Spring Park, the No.1 spring scenic spot in Jinan, is a traditional courtyard building of garden in garden with the gate facing west. Cangyuan, a scoop of the sea. It was the former site of an academy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and was changed to a school many times after the end of the Qing Dynasty. Baotu Spring Park was included in the park when it was expanded and rebuilt in 1964. Siheyuan building, covering an area of 2500 square meters, has three halls, two courtyards and a corridor, green brick, black tile and white powder wall, simple and elegant. On the west side of the garden is a white snow building commemorating Li Panlong, a famous poet of the Ming Dynasty and leader of the "post seven sons". Li wrote cangming collection, which is known as "Mr. cangming", so the garden is named "Cangyuan". In January 1987, Jinan Municipal People's government transformed the garden into a memorial hall for Wang Xuetao, a famous contemporary small freehand flower and bird painter.

Architectural landscape

There are two courtyards and three halls in the park. The north and South are on a central axis, and there are corridors around the hall. The winding corridors around the garden surround each other, and there are bamboos along the corridor. In the courtyard, there are many rocks and large-scale bonsai on display, with tall and straight pines and orange Chimonanthus praecox, highlighting the winter landscape. Especially after the snow, pines, bamboos and plums show their respective styles, forming a "picture of three friends in winter". There is a broad platform to the north of the North Hall. Taipei is Fengxi pond. The northwest part of the garden is connected with the veranda, which is called "Fengxie". When you probe into the water, you can see the trees on Zhongyue island in Fengxi River, forming a wonderful scenery. It is expected to come to Hefang, Luoyuan hall and Shuixie teahouse. To the East, you can see the rockery behind the rocks and trees. The scenery is far-reaching and becomes the perspective line of the park.

Wang Xuetao Memorial

Wang Xuetao (1903-1982), formerly known as Wang tingjun, was named Xiaofeng. Born in Cheng'an County, Hebei Province, he is a famous contemporary flower and bird painter. Before he died, he was the president of Beijing Painting Academy. In the early 1920s, he studied in Beiping National Art College and received modern art education. He learned from many famous masters, especially old man Baishi. At the same time, he developed his own way and formed his unique artistic characteristics. His works have a wide range of subjects and full of vitality. Every plant, flower, bird, insect and fish are full of spirituality. Wang Xuetao memorial is located in Cangyuan. It's a classical quadrangle. The memorial hall is divided into four exhibition halls, namely "wubai villa", "Ouhua building", "Luoyue hall" and "wahuzhai". It has a reception room, an office and a service department, with a total construction area of 755.6 square meters. It collects and displays 212 pieces of Wang Xuetao's posthumous works, 6 pieces of celebrities' calligraphy and paintings, and four treasures of his study.
