Yangguan Desert Forest Park

Yangguan desert forest park is located near Nanhu forest farm, 80 km southwest of Dunhuang City, Gansu Province, 10 km away from the old city of Yangguan. Since 1993, on the basis of the original Nanhu forest farm, the local authorities have successively built grape corridor, grape viewing area, sand botanical garden, zoo, swimming pool, children's playground and Nanhu holiday villa, with a total area of 16.65 square kilometers. It has become a provincial desert forest park and an important scene in Dunhuang Yangguan tourist county.

Nanhu township has an oasis in the desert, 10 kilometers long and less than 5 kilometers wide, with a total of 17 villages and a population of more than 6000. Here, every village builds gardens and every household plants trees. There are 15000 mu of poplar, willow, peach, apple, jujube, grape and other kinds of trees, with more than 2000 trees per capita. In particular, there are many varieties of grapes with good quality, which can be compared with the grapes in Turpan and is known as "little Turpan".

A 5000 meter long grape corridor has been built in Nanhu, which is surrounded by fine vines. Visitors can watch along the corridor. There are stone tables and benches in the corridor for tourists to rest and taste grapes. On both sides of the South Lake Forest Farm leading to the sand dunes, there are two vineyards in the northwest, covering an area of 160 mu.

The sandy botanical garden is located in the northern edge of the sand dune, covering an area of 500 mu. The garden is planted with ornamental tree species such as Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Pinus tabulaeformis, Picea crassifolia, Platycladus orientalis, juniper, and other sandy plants such as Salix, Calligonum jujube, Overlord, twig, flower stick, Acanthus.

In the south of the vineyard, there is a zoo, covering an area of 300 mu, with wild camels, yellow sheep, blue sheep and other national wildlife for viewing.

Every August and September is the season of grape ripening in Nanhu. Tourists can come here to taste the grapes, live in Nanhu holiday villa, and experience the pastoral scenery of desert oasis and the life style of modern farmers.

History and culture

Fuxi Culture

Fuxi is the ancestor of the Chinese nation. Fuxi Culture is an important part of prehistoric culture and the source of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation. Tianshui is the birthplace of Fuxi and the birthplace of Fuxi Culture. There is a Fuxi temple built in the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, which is the largest and best preserved in China. In sanyangchuan, 17 kilometers away from the city, there is guatai mountain, where Fuxi created and painted eight trigrams. In the temple on the mountain, there are statues of Fuxi and eight trigrams plates of the Yuan Dynasty. Fuxi Culture is broad and profound, which has attracted unremitting exploration and research of mathematicians and experts at home and abroad. It has also attracted a large number of tourists at home and abroad to visit and worship their ancestors. In order to strengthen the development and research, a seminar on Fuxi Culture has been set up, which has had a wide influence at home and abroad. Now, it is actively applying for the establishment of a National Association, the Chinese Fuxi Culture Research Association.

Early Qin Culture

Tianshui is the birthplace of the state of Qin. The ancestor of Qin people, Ying Feizi, made great contributions in herding horses here. In 890 BC, he was granted the capital of Qin Ting by King Xiao of Zhou. Today, Tianshui area has developed for more than 200 years. In 762 BC, he moved eastward to Guanzhong area of Shaanxi Province, starting the pace of unifying the six countries. In the process of unifying the six states, the Qin people established Ying county and Ji County in Qingshui and Gangu in 688 BC, which is the earliest County in Chinese history. The cultural remains of the early Qin Dynasty are mainly concentrated in Tianshui, Gansu Province.

Three Kingdoms culture

Tianshui is the most important town of Longyou in history, and it has always been a place for military strategists. During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Tianshui was at the forefront of the confrontation between Shu and Wei. Zhuge Liang left Qishan six times, lost Jieting, zhishou Jiangwei, and planned to kill Zhangying all took place in Tianshui. There are Jieting, tianshuiguan, mumendao, Zhuge barracks and other ancient battlefield sites in Tianshui.

Gansu Province has a large span from north to south, and its main catering characteristics are the Hui flavor represented by Lanzhou. There are many snack streets in Lanzhou, and there are large medium and high-grade restaurants for diners to choose from. Panxuan road is surrounded by hotels and guesthouses. Tourists can choose to taste delicious food in the snack street of nongnong lane. Hezheng road snack street around the railway station is also very famous. In addition, there are snack streets in the city, such as the west entrance of the square, railway new village, Xiguan Shizi, Xiaoxihu, Jianlan Road, which can last from morning to midnight.
