Songming fajie Temple Forest Park is located at the east foot of Lingyun in the northwest of Songming County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, 2.5 km away from the county. The mountain here is rugged, the canyon is deep, the pine and bamboo are verdant, the double spring is green, and the scenery is beautiful. Standing on the mountain and looking around, you can see the distant mountains and near the trees. It was once a famous Buddhist holy land. The fajie temple was built in the later Jin Dynasty (936-947). At its peak, the temple was more than 10 in weight. It was spread along the mountain scale from the top of the mountain. It was well arranged and magnificent, ranking first among the Eight Temples of Songming. In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the temple was not repaired. In the 1950s, the feudal superstition was broken, the Buddha statues were exhausted, the houses collapsed, and only the ruins remained.
The main hall in fajie Temple Forest Park is reconstructed according to the original site and appearance. It has five double eaves, which are 21.4 meters long, 18 meters wide and 14.6 meters high. It has glazed tile roof, Jianchuan wood doors and windows, marble platform fence and neon lamp eaves decoration. The plaque is made by Zhao Puchu, chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association. Inside it are statues of Tathagata, pharmacist, amito Buddha and five Arhats Bailongtan on both sides reappears the landscape of "Shuangquan xiebi"; three mountain gates are built along the special highway, which are magnificent and quite ornamental; an open-air stage is built on the west side of ertianmen for tourists to gather and carry out literary and artistic activities. In front of the hall about 200 meters outside the gate of three days, built a stone arch bridge, to build the main hall to the peak of Baolian tower (observation tower) mountain road.
The east side of the main hall is a green ecological forest of Steles, which is composed of 100 pieces of white marble steles. The inscriptions contain famous sayings praising nature and advocating harmonious coexistence between man and nature at all times and in all over the world. The inscriptions with elegant cultural taste and exquisite calligraphy art are used to cultivate tourists' temperament, transmit environmental protection knowledge, and improve the public's awareness of protecting the ecological environment and natural resources. The painting and calligraphy villa on the east side of Santianmen is on display.

Scale design
In 1989, the masses of Songyang town spontaneously built 6 brick and wood structure bungalows in the original site of Xinghai nunnery, with statues of Guanyin, Manjusri, Puxian and other Buddhas inside, and 4 other houses for office and residential use. In 1997, Songyang town government and its affiliated Shanjiao Office (villagers' committee) decided to use the natural landscape of Lingyun mountain and the historical influence of fajie temple to develop and build a forest park of fajie temple in Lingyun mountain covering an area of 2 square kilometers in 15 years, integrating sightseeing, tourism, vacation and Buddhist culture. The first phase of the project includes reconstruction of the main hall of fajie temple, improvement of water, electricity, road, communication and other infrastructure. The foundation was laid on November 15 of that year and completed on January 18, 1999.

Project
More than 5 million yuan has been invested in the first phase of the project. In the same year, with the support of all sectors of the society, an investment of 500000 yuan was made to build a stone arch bridge outside the three-day gate about 200 meters in front of the main hall, and to build a winding mountain road from the main hall to the Baolian tower (viewing tower) on the top of the mountain, which laid the foundation for the follow-up projects. In June 2000, the County Tourism Bureau and the park management office cooperated with Yunnan national painting academy to develop the green eco-tourism cultural industry. Taking the east side of the main hall as the center, the green eco-tourism forest of Steles was built, which was composed of 100 pieces of white marble steles. By the end of the year, the gate of the forest of Steles, the eagle, the murals of Shuanglong, the rocks of fajiesi Town, some cultural steles, and the century steles organized by the county Party committee and the county government in Lingyun mountain to welcome the dawn of the new year's day of the new millennium and the Mid Autumn Moon activities had already stood in the park. In the same year, Yunnan National Painting Academy built a high-grade painting and calligraphy villa on the east side of Santianmen, which not only displayed the fine crystal of painting and calligraphy, but also served as the working base of Songming branch. By the end of the year, it had begun to take shape. Fajie Temple Forest Park is open while it is under construction. According to endless statistics, from January 1999 to the end of 2000, the park received 300000 tourists, and the income of the park was nearly 700000 yuan.
