Ancient city of hanouk
Hainuke ancient city is located in the South Bank of yichebuha canal, about 4 km east by north of hainuke village, hainuke Township, Chabuchar county. In 1966, the city was announced as one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The ruins of the ancient city are not large in scale. They are built in and out of the city. The city walls of the outer city have long been gone. There is only one earth ridge with a circumference of 2 km. It covers an area of 0.5 square kilometers. The inner city is slightly rectangular, with the remnant walls of the city wall. It is built of rammed earth, about 2 meters high. There are remains of buildings in the north of the city, the rest of which have been destroyed by early diggers and have been in the shape of a ditch. Local people also call it "aletunluk", which means "golden land". According to a brief introduction to the president of the western frontier, there are no places of interest in Ili, such as guerzha in Hebei Province and hainuke in Henan Province. In 1972, someone found a copper dagger in the city. It was 40 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. There were four grooves on both sides of the blade, and the two ends of the blade were carved with tiger patterns. The ancient city of hanouk was built in the early Yuan Dynasty. According to the stele of yeluxiliang, a single horse travels 200 Li to the city of Buer, 90 Li to the yilie River and the city of Henan. Yili is the site of the Yazhang of aluhu, the Mongol king of Yili. It is said that this city on the South Bank of Yili River is also called the ancient city of hainuke. The time when the ancient city of hanouk was abandoned is unknown.
The ancient city was built in the yuan and Ming Dynasties. After Genghis Khan conquered Central Asia, he assigned it to Chagatai, his second son. In 1292, it became the territory of King aluhu, the son of Chagatai, known as "yelqin".
In the 1970s, after the development and prosperity of the Ili River Valley, the capital of irut Mongolian Junggar was moved to ILI, and the ancient city of hainuke became the capital of the Junggar Khanate. At the beginning of the 18th century, they plundered a large amount of gold and silver, artifacts, and Buddha statues from Tibet. Then they built the hainuke temple on the South Bank of the Ili River and the gulezha temple on the north bank to place and worship them, becoming the Holy Land worshipped by the Mongolians at that time. Today, the outer city of the ancient city has been destroyed, and the rectangular walls of the inner city remain. The Yinding temple in the ancient city is across the river from Jinding temple in Yining City. It was built at the same time with Jinding temple. However, white is the most noble Tibetan Buddhism, so its scale is better than the latter. It is said that the roof of the temple is decorated with yak horns. Yinding temple and Jinding temple were destroyed by war at the same time
