Located in Tanghe street of Jianhu County, Shuanghu park is an extension of two abandoned Yaotang. It covers an area of more than 2000 mu, of which the water area is nearly 1000 mu. Shuanghu park is also the largest comprehensive ecological park in central and Northern Jiangsu.

Shuanghu park is located in Tanghe street, Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to Huzhong road in the East, Jianbao line in the West and Shuanghu road in the south. It is constructed from the open lake formed by the original two abandoned Yaotang turning waste into treasure and storing water. The park covers an area of more than 2000 mu, including nearly 1000 mu of water surface area and nearly 1000 mu of green area. It is the largest comprehensive ecological park in central and Northern Jiangsu. The park started construction on August 18, 2008. At present, the park has been completed and opened.

The park is designed by Hangzhou Landscape Architecture Institute. It is based on the landscape of Jianhu water town, with the connotation of Jianhu acrobatics and Huai opera culture listed in the national intangible cultural heritage, with the characteristics of water green ecology, and with a large area of lakes, flowers and trees as the main body. It is an open comprehensive ecological park. The park fully considers the overall coordination with the surrounding environment, highlighting the ecological, leisure and cultural nature of the park. Integrity: give full consideration to the integrity of the park and the surrounding environment to achieve natural penetration and seamless connection, especially in the functional block division, river water area arrangement and other aspects to consider the connection with the overall environment of the city to drive the development of the surrounding land; Ecology: highlight the dominant position of greening in the park construction, with green as the main part, through the comprehensive treatment of plants, terrain and water Leisure: adopt the management mode of "big open, small closed", through the construction of leisure service facilities, coordinate the relationship between the ecological benefits, social benefits and economic benefits of the park; culture: deeply explore the traditional culture and modern culture with the characteristics of Jianhu, and endow the park with profound cultural connotation.

The planning of Shuanghu Park adopts the overall layout framework of "one center, two areas and six districts". One heart: in the central water area, the low-lying area formed by the excavation of the existing brick yard is used to store water to form an open lake, and the park layout is carried out around the central water area. Two films: cultural leisure film and ecological experience film, with the overall starting point of displaying the city's cultural heritage. Cultural and leisure film: spread along one side of the urban trunk road, integrating Jianhu traditional culture into the park environment; ecological experience film: form a buffer green belt between urban development plots, form an ecological corridor, and create a changing park space. Six areas: Folk leisure area, ecological recreation area, natural landscape area, sports activity area, Buddhist culture area and business reception area. Among the six areas, through the park greening organization and garden road system, a modern urban comprehensive ecological park with multiple functions is formed to meet the needs of residents' leisure activities. Greening is designed by Hangzhou Landscape Architecture Institute. It combines greening with the artistic conception of the park, sets off the whole environment, highlights the link and series effect of greening, attaches importance to the four seasons landscape, and emphasizes the seasonal change on the premise that evergreen trees occupy the dominant position. The planting mode of greening highlights the overall natural ecological characteristics of the park, mainly natural planting. There are more than 200 kinds of flowers and trees, including Cinnamomum camphora, Ligustrum lucidum, Cedrus deodarum, Magnolia grandiflora, slash pine, Ginkgo biloba, Liquidambar formosana, Sophora japonica, Sapium sebiferum and so on. Combined with the terrain to create a mountain effect, form a good green background, and beautify the environment of the Park.

The completion of Shuanghu park has driven the development of the whole South New Area of the city, and is forming a new administrative and business district with the park as the center. The completion of the park not only improves the taste of the city, but also improves the living environment of the masses, and has become a beautiful business card of Jianhu County.
