Shaoling stele Pavilion
On the east side of Gongbu temple, there is a thatched stele pavilion with a large stone tablet inscribed with the four characters "Shaoling thatched cottage". The calligraphy is powerful and elegant, which is the title of Prince Guo Yunli. Why is Du Fu thatched cottage called Shaoling thatched cottage? This is because Du Fu once lived in duling, Jingzhao (Chang'an). Du Mausoleum is located in the southeast of Chang'an city. It was called Du Bo state in ancient times. It was originally Du yuan. Du county was set up in Qin Dynasty. Emperor Xuan of Han dynasty built the mausoleum here, so it was renamed Du Mausoleum. There is a small mausoleum more than ten miles southeast of Du Mausoleum, also known as Shaoling, which is the burial place of empress Xu of Han Dynasty. In his poems, Du Fu often called himself Bu Yi of Du Ling and ye Lao of Shaoling. Therefore, later generations also called Du Fu as Du Shaoling, and Du Fu thatched cottage as Shaoling thatched cottage. The pavilion is backed by the lotus pool, surrounded by the vigorous flowers, plants, bamboo and trees. The scenery is beautiful and pleasant. At the end of Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, the people of Ming dynasty built a thatched pavilion in the ancestral hall of Ministry of industry, which was named "heaven and earth - thatched cottage". Its purpose was to symbolize the thatched cottage of Dufu thatched cottage to commemorate the poet saint. This was mentioned earlier.
