Phoenix Island

Phoenix Island < I (English: Phoenix Island) < / I is an artificial island reclaimed from the reef of the sea, which is located in the core of "Sunshine Coast" of Sanya Bay Resort in Sanya City.

The island is surrounded by the sea. It is connected with Sanya Bay Road and Guangming Road by a 394 meter long and 17 meter wide cross sea sightseeing bridge. It is less than 1000 meters away from Jiefang Road, the main commercial road in Sanya City. It is adjacent to Luhuitou Park in the south, Sanya River Estuary in the southeast, East and West hawksbill island in the West and beautiful Sanya Bay Beach in the north.

Fenghuang island is 1250 meters long and 350 meters wide, covering an area of 547.5 mu (365000 square meters) < / I, with a planned total construction area of 480000 square meters and a total plot ratio of 1.1. The second island covers an area of 474000 square meters, which is connected with the first phase island by the whole beach. The sea water depth reaches 12 meters, and the color is blue, clear and mellow. At present, the second phase of Island reclamation project has officially started on April 10, 2014, and will be completed in 2016. Four new cruise terminals are planned, including one 100000 ton berth, two 150000 ton berths and one 225000 ton berth. At that time, Phoenix Island will be able to dock 6-8 cruise ships at the same time, with an annual reception capacity of 2 million people, and will become one of the largest international cruise home ports in the world. Relying on the mountain scenery on three sides and facing the sea on four sides, the island has unique mountain, sea and sky tourism scenery, and has the conditions of marine entertainment, water sports and all season vacation tourism.

Major projects

Phoenix Island mainly includes seven major projects: super star hotel (including hotel and International Conference Center), international health resort center, villa business club, tropical commercial street, International Yacht games, Olympic theme park and Phoenix Island International Cruise Port. The comprehensive development goal of Phoenix Island is to become the leading luxury resort in Sanya City, Hainan Province and even the whole of China, and to build Sanya Phoenix Island into a cruise capital and harbor city comparable to Miami and a dream island comparable to Dubai.

History of scenic spots

The original idea of Fenghuang Island project was an international passenger terminal, which was established by Sanya port authority. From 1996 to 1998, the demonstration of Hydrometeorology and environmental protection was carried out, and the approval of all levels of competent departments in Hainan Province was obtained. At first, Fenghuang Island approved an area of 1200 mu. After repeated argumentation, it was adjusted to 548 mu in September 2000, and obtained provincial and municipal approval at all levels. It agreed to build a deep-water wharf, an artificial island (named baipai island at that time) and a cross sea bridge.

In 2014, with the strength of the world's top 500 central enterprises, junior high school Communications Construction Group invested in restructuring Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Port Development Co., Ltd. on the basis of the first phase of international tourism and holiday Neverland, it planned to build the second phase of the island, striving to build a Neverland, cruise capital and harbor city.

Fenghuang Island phase II project was officially started on April 10, 2014. It is planned to build four new cruise terminals, including one 100000 ton berth, two 150000 ton berths and one 225000 ton berth. The existing berths will be planned as domestic route berthing area, and the joint inspection building will be built according to international standards. At that time, Phoenix Island will be able to dock 6-8 cruise ships at the same time, with an annual reception capacity of 2 million people, becoming a world-class international cruise home port.

The first and second islands of Phoenix Island, with a total area of more than 1200 mu, are 12 meters deep. Compared with the coast, the sea water is blue, clear and mellow. In addition to the invincible sea view, Sanya Phoenix Island will also gather global luxury entertainment brands, introduce international famous aquarium, restore the beauty of coral reef ecological group, and explore the wonders of the marine world. Development status

Among the seven major projects, the international cruise port was completed and put into operation on November 9, 2006. Fenghuang Island International Cruise Port is the only international cruise port in Sanya, which is the gateway for international cruise tourists to enter Sanya. The cruise terminal is equipped with a modern passenger transport joint inspection building of nearly 10000 square meters and 8 frontier inspection channels, which can receive 3000 international tourists at one time, with an annual capacity of more than 600000. In addition, a 60000 DWT and 250000 DWT cruise terminal is under planning and construction, which will be able to receive the world's largest cruise after completion. Since the opening of Fenghuang Island International Cruise Port on November 9, 2006, it has received 28 International Cruises by the end of November 2007, and 14000 international tourists have entered Sanya through the port. With the increasingly mature operation of cruise port, the number of international cruise flights that have been reserved in 2008 has doubled compared with 2006, and will reach 54.

Phoenix Island International health resort was completed and put into use in August 2012. First floor Sanya Phoenix Island Resort has been put into trial operation on February 17, 2015.

In order to meet the 138000 DWT cruise ship to be docked in August 2015, the Cruise Port Phase II project is under continuous construction. It is planned to complete the construction of the first 100000 DWT (150000 DWT) berth by the end of July 2015.

As a new landmark of Sanya and the leading high-end project, Phoenix Island has attracted much attention after the release of Hainan International Tourism Island strategy because of its unique artificial island in the sea and seven unique projects (i.e. a super star hotel, international health resort, villa business club, sea style commercial street, international yacht, Olympic theme park and Phoenix Island International Cruise Port). According to the person in charge of Fenghuang Island sales center, Fenghuang Island project is different from most projects in Sanya and Hainan. As a new landmark in Sanya, Fenghuang island is not only a real estate, but also a combination of seven unique projects. Hainan tourism island is a national development strategy.
