Taiziping
Taiziping of Mount Emei is located on qilipu, with an altitude of 2858 meters. It was founded in the Ming Dynasty and is called Wanxing nunnery. It is a memorial tablet for the crown prince of Ming Shenzong. In 1653, the monk Wenda formally built the temple, set up the prince's building and shaped the statue. Tourists buy it with money, and those who win give birth to men. Therefore, it is commonly known as taiziping. At present, there is a wooden building, which is a relic of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty.
It is about 3.5 km from jieyindian to taiziping along Dengshan road.
The road up to taiziping is commonly known as qilipo. In the vines beyond the left and right, there is a huge stone like a knife and an axe. On the stone, there are three big characters of "the first mountain", which are naturally grown by moss. With the change of yin and Yang eyes, they sometimes appear, sometimes all three characters, sometimes only one or two characters. It is said that all three characters appear. At that time, it must be rich in grain and full of magical color, so it is called "one mountain Zhaorui".
Not far up the slope, there is another Guanyin rock. The huge stone on the rock looks like a square platform. It's said that the mother of Emperor Wanli came to the mountain and saw that Jinding was coming. She was so happy that she made up and dressed here, so it was called "dressing table". Whenever the bright moon shines on the dressing table, the clear light sprinkles all over the forest, giving people reverie. So it's also called "dressing and staying on the moon". It's a great scene here.
Taiziping, formerly known as wanxing'an, was built by Zen master Guzhi in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt by Zen master Wenda in Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty. It is said that the temple was named taiziping because it offered a statue of Changluo, the son of Zhu Yijun, the emperor of Ming Dynasty. Under the rock in front of the temple, there is a stone like an elephant, which is called "Elephant King Stone". It is said that it is the incarnation of the sitting statue of Pu Xian.
The statue of the crown prince is no longer there. Now it is a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha.
From taiziping up to Tianmen stone, the two stones are opposite, like a knife in the split, only two stone gates block the road. After that, you can reach the seventh overpass, because Taoism calls Mount Emei the seventh cave. It is not far from qitianqiao to Jinding.
