Bund Bridge
Waitan bridge, formerly known as "jingjialu bridge across Yongjiang River", is a river crossing channel connecting Jiangbei District and Yinzhou District in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is located on the Yongjiang river. It is one of the "four bridges" among the "five roads and four bridges" in Zhejiang Province and an important part of the main urban road in the west of Ningbo City.
The construction of the Bund bridge started on June 7, 2008.
The installation of the last steel beam was completed on July 15, and the whole bridge was connected.
It was put into operation on December 29, 2010.
The Bund bridge starts from Daqing South Road in the west, crosses Yongjiang waterway in the East and ends at Shuguang North Road in the East. The total length of the line is 1.38 km, and the main bridge is 337 m long. The bridge deck is a two-way six lane urban trunk road with a design speed of 50 km / h, and the total project cost is 470 million yuan.
Construction process
On December 30, 2005, the Bund bridge construction project was opened with the construction of "five roads and four bridges", which was called "Jingjia road bridge across Yongjiang River".
On March 1, 2007, Jingjia road bridge across Yongjiang river was officially named "Bund bridge".
On June 7, 2008, the construction of the Bund bridge began.
On June 11, 2009, the installation of the first section of steel box girder of the Bund bridge was completed.
On March 3, 2010, the construction of the herringbone pylon of the Bund bridge was completed.
On July 15, the Bund bridge completed the installation of the last piece of steel beam, and the whole bridge was connected.
On December 20, the Bund bridge passed the preliminary acceptance. On December 29, the Bund bridge was opened to traffic.
Bridge location
The Bund bridge is located on the Yongjiang River in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China, connecting Jiangbei District and Yinzhou District. It is 2.5km away from the upstream Xingning bridge in the West and 1km away from the downstream Qingfeng bridge in the East. The whole section of the bridge belongs to Jingjia road. It starts from the intersection of Daqing South Road and Dazha South Road in the west, crosses Yongjiang waterway, and ends at the intersection of Jingjia road and Shuguang North Road in the East. The West Bank connects Daqing South Road, Dazha South Road, Renmin Road, etc., and the east bank connects tieanchor street, Jingjia Road, etc.

The Bund bridge is composed of main bridge on water, approach bridges on East and West banks, herringbone pylons and their interchange ramps. The main bridge section is arranged from northwest to Southeast.
Design concept
The footbridge overhanging from both sides of the main girder of the Bund bridge is like a gull wing, simple and light. The bridge tower tilts into a "human" shape, implying the humanistic Ningbo, focusing on the expression of Ningbo's modern garden city image of fighting against the wind and rain, marching forward bravely and having a broad mind like the ocean.

The Bund bridge is about 1.38 km long, with a main bridge of 337 m long and a span of (82 + 225 + 30) M. the main bridge is 43.8-54.4 m wide and the approach bridge is 33 m wide. The main girder is 2.4m high, the width of one side box is 17.1m, the total width of cantilevered arm of sidewalk is 21.4m, the spacing between beams is 15m, the height is 2.4m, the width is 2M and the width is 2.5m. The main section box of the front tower column is 3.1 to 2.057 meters wide and 5.3 to 4.2 meters high, the additional section box of the front tower column is 1.1 to 0.8 meters wide and 1.5 to 0.5 meters high, the side box is 2.057 to 1.2 meters wide and 4.2 to 3.844 meters high, the rear inclined bar box is 2.5 to 1.8 meters wide and 5.0 to 3.5 meters high, and the horizontal bar box is 2.5 to 1.8 meters wide and 3.5 to 2.4 meters high. There are 64 stay cables in the whole bridge. The standard cable distance on the beam is 15m, including 16 pairs of inner cables and 16 pairs of outer cables. There are 32 pairs in the whole bridge. The maximum specification of stay cables is pes7-283, the maximum length is about 224m, and the maximum weight of single cable is 19.2t. The height of the main pier is 9.5m, the cross section size of the pier top is 22.77m × 7.5m, the cross section size of the pier bottom is 25.77m × 10.5m, and the length × width × height of the bearing platform is 40.0m × 22.0m × 5.0m.

Traffic monitoring
Since August 2016, electronic police and other traffic monitoring equipment have been installed on the Bund bridge to capture and record illegal vehicles.

Fare system
On December 29, 2011, the Bund bridge was put into operation. The whole section of the bridge was free of charge, and the toll system was not implemented.

Technical problems
As a bridge in the center of the city, the Bund bridge has complex structure and many construction restrictions, and there was no similar bridge construction experience in China at that time. Whether the triangle cable tower can be constructed smoothly is the key to the success of the bridge construction. The bridge construction makes full use of the existing resources, the front tower adopts the "vertical splicing and vertical rotation" method, and the rear inclined rod adopts the "horizontal splicing and then leveling" method The method of "lifting and sliding" is adopted.
1. The horizontal poles of the Bund bridge are installed by gantry crane section by section.
2. After the section of the front tower column of the Bund bridge is transported to the construction site by the beam carrier, the section is lifted in place and installed by the lifting gantry. The consolidation section of the front tower column and the rear inclined rod is not only the cable anchorage zone, but also the extension section of the rear inclined rod, which is a special-shaped member with a weight of 347 tons. According to the characteristics of irregular shape, heavy weight and long vertical lifting distance of the segment, the beam carrier is used to transport the segment to the construction site, the steel platform is used to slide ashore, and the lifting gantry is used to rotate, rotate and lift the segment in place, so as to realize the smooth installation and construction of the segment.
3. The vertical rotation of the front tower column of the Bund bridge is realized by the retraction and release of the front and back cables. The synchronization of the force and displacement of the front and back cables is solved by the computer hydraulic synchronous control system.
4. The length of the back inclined bar of the Bund bridge is 80.13 meters on the support, and the method of lifting at the front end and sliding at the back end is adopted to place the segments. Before the integral lifting and sliding of the rear inclined rod, the lifting system is set at the top of the front tower column, and then the translation trolley at the end of the rear inclined rod is installed, and the traction and braking pulley blocks are set at the front and rear of the translation trolley to control the moving speed of the translation trolley. In the process of lifting, the top position of the tower is controlled by adjusting the front and back cable forces of the front tower.

The Bund bridge is another super large bridge across the Yongjiang River in Ningbo City after Yongjiang bridge and Qingfeng bridge.
