Jiufeng Mountain is located in Dabao Township in the northwest of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. It stretches more than 200 miles from the northwest of Sichuan Province. Jiufeng Mountain stands at an altitude of 1200-4500 meters, and the main peak taizicheng is 4812 meters above sea level. It is the crown of all the mountains in Pengzhou, the sacred and mysterious area, and the land shared by Taoism and Buddhism. In ancient times, those who were not sincere often met with wind, rain and lightning, and could not survive or die.

Development history

The name of the nine peaks is derived from the nine peaks. According to the annals of Peng County written by Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, "in the northwest of China, there are nine peaks standing on the sky, which are actually the crowns of all the mountains in Pengyi, so it is named. "What's the shape of the nine peaks? Jiaqing Zhili said: "the nine peaks are white dragon, rosefinch, flame and Tianya in the northeast, backlit by China and Japan, and Xianren, Huanglong, Yuanwu and Baihu in the southwest. "

The nine peaks are shrouded in clouds and mist, rising into the sky. When the ancient Shu people didn't know the relationship between the sun and the earth, they thought that the steep nine peaks blocked the way of the sun and the moon, and called the valley between the nine peaks "Menggu" (the place where the sun sleeps). Some people who study Shanhaijing say that Jiufengshan is the "Lingshan" in dahuangxijing. Wupeng, Wuwei, Wuji, Wugu, Wugu, Wuzhen, Wuli, Wudi, Wuxie, Wuluo and other ten witches come to the world from here. All kinds of medicines grow here. When they go to the world, they also need to collect some by the way to treat people's diseases. Therefore, the mountain is also known as "TIANTI", "Shenxian road" and "fairyland on earth". It is also said that this mountain is a mountain of "climbing is spirit", "climbing is God", "climbing can not die", "climbing can make wind and rain", "producing medicine that can not die". Covering an area of about 180 square kilometers, the scenic spot is composed of flame peak, Baihu peak, Beiguang peak, Yuanwu peak, Xianren peak, Zhuque peak, Changnian peak, Tianya peak and Longfeng. Jiufeng Mountain is like a wall across the sky. There are six mountain paths to climb up Jiufeng Mountain. There are three main climbing paths: from cizhuwan to the top of zushidian, from erxianqiao, from Changheba to the top of Longkou and longshiping. Jiufeng Mountain is full of mountains, rocks, clouds and mists. There are many precious animals, such as giant panda, golden monkey and so on.

Main attractions

Jiufeng Mountain is a provincial scenic spot. The scenic spot is about 97 kilometers away from Chengdu, with convenient transportation. There are Leizu temple, Qingliang temple, haihuitang temple, zushi hall and other temples in the mountains, and Leiyin temple, which was built in the Tianqi period of Ming Dynasty, is on the peak. On sunny days, you can see the sunrise, the sea of clouds and the light of Buddha. On cloudy days, you can see the wonder of "waterfall cloud". Mainly developed the Yinchanggou Scenic Spot with concentrated landscape in the Northeast foot. There are many scenic spots in the area, such as Dalongtan, Xiaolongtan, Mantianxing, xuanqiaozhandao, Xinghe and waterfall group, which form the characteristics of deep valley, dangerous peak, waterfall, flowing spring, Cangshan forest, cloud and transpiration.

Traces of ancient temples

Zhang Ding, a general of the Ming Dynasty, abandoned his army and became a monk. He was named "Wuzhen" by the law. He built Leiyin temple on the top of the mountain in the year of Tianqi. In the Qing Dynasty, together with Yinghua and Tiantai, it was called Sanshan Buddhist area. Haihui hall at the foot of the mountain is located one kilometer above Erxian bridge. There are more than 20 statues of Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, eighteen Arhats and so on in the main hall of Daxiong, which are lifelike.

Mandarin duck double waterfall

One kilometer up haihuitang, there are two waterfalls. The small ones are hidden in the bushes and sometimes appear. The big ones are flying down the cliff and splashing.

Jade Pool

The pool under the waterfall, in which there is a rock shaped like a crab, commonly known as crab pool. The water is clear and the color is emerald, so it is also called emerald pool. There are many strange rocks in the mouth of the pool.

Rhododendron forest and sea of flowers

At the top of the ancestral hall, Rhododendron, Qingming flower, Dengtai flower, eight immortals flower, golden marble, water sand, creeping centipede, and Phyllanthus vie for splendor. There are more than 10 kinds of colors, such as white, yellow, red, light blue and so on.

Natural screen

From Luohan cave to the top, the yellow brown and red granite peaks stand tall, with the height of more than 10 meters and the height of more than 5 meters. Some are like large-scale landscape bonsai, others are like human beings and animals, with different shapes. Panda stone, Yangzi stone, rooster stone, Wangfu stone, immortal finger and Thousand Buddha rock are all vivid. Every time the mist is flowing or the clouds are rolling, the strange peaks and rocks appear and disappear, sometimes thick and sometimes light, just like excellent ink painting screens.

Dangerous pass

Nantianmen, 1 li from the peak, is the only access to Leiyin temple. The terrain of the crossing is very dangerous. Looking up at the peak, the sky is covered by clouds and fog. Looking down, the hanging rock is steep and the cliffs are thousands of feet. It has the tendency of "one man is in charge of the pass and ten thousand people are not allowed to open". The hexagonal wooden pavilion built in Qing Dynasty still exists between the two rocks at Daokou.

Range Rover

Mount the Leiyin temple on the top of Jiufeng Mountain, the wonderful scenery is fascinating. You can see the gorgeous sunrise, the rolling sea of clouds, and the magical Buddha light from 10 am to 3 pm when the red sun is bright and the clouds cover the mountain. At night, you can see the floating magic lamp. The sightseeing platform about 300 meters southeast of Leiyin temple is the best place to watch sunrise, sea of clouds, Buddha light and magic lamp.

Moss Carpet

On both sides of the mountain path at 2700-2900 meters above sea level at the top of Jiufeng Mountain, there is a large area of golden moss, which is golden yellow in color, as thin as hair, and as thick as 50 cm.

The old way of Panda

Jiufenghou mountain, 2650 meters above sea level, is a place for giant pandas to live and relax. On both sides of the winding mountain road, there are green arrow bamboos, fragrant and mysterious.

Tourism information

It is 31 km from Chengdu to Pengzhou and 58 km from Pengzhou to the scenic spot. Chengdu and Pengzhou have tourist buses to Yinchanggou every day, so the traffic is very convenient. So you can take the special tourist bus directly to danjingshan and Yinchanggou at Chengdu North railway station. There are several classes in the morning and afternoon. In addition, there are many shuttle buses to Chengdu Ximen station and Xinnanmen tourist passenger transport center.

Post earthquake impact

After the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake, the mountain collapses were serious. The road from zushidian to Guanyinyan is seriously damaged and needs to pass through 5 large landslides. Each landslide has a guide mark (red cloth belt or plastic bag, etc.) left by a donkey, and the landslides between the road and the road are not long (the first landslide out of zushidian is the longest), so they generally will not get lost. Guanyinyan is still in good condition. There are all kinds of daily necessities in it. There are masters living in summer and autumn. The road from Guanyinyan to leiyinsi is the least damaged, almost the original road, with only two landslides (very short, with road signs). The Leiyin temple in Jinding has collapsed. There is a bed and some quilts under the collapsed eaves to keep out the cold at night.
