Huqiu, more than 2500 years ago, has to go to Suzhou. The ancients once said that Huqiu is suitable for the moon, snow, rain, smoke, spring dawn, summer, autumn, falling trees and setting sun.
It is said that Fu Chai, king of Wu, buried his father here in the spring and Autumn period. Three days after the burial, there was a white tiger sitting on it, so it was named. The mountain is about 36 meters high, with towering ancient trees and many small landscapes. The Millennium Tiger Hill tower stands on the top of the mountain. Relying on its beautiful scenery and long historical and cultural landscape, Huqiu enjoys the reputation of "the first scenic spot in Wuzhong".
The scenery of Huqiu is very beautiful, but it is the most famous of Huqiu pagoda and Huqiu sword pool. Huqiu pagoda, built in the Song Dynasty, is called "Oriental leaning tower of Pisa" because of its slightly inclined foundation. The sword pool, where Lu Yu once lived, may be buried with the mystery of the tomb of King Helu of Wu. The water in the sword pool is rated as "the fifth spring in the world" by him. It is said that the four characters "Huqiu Jianchi" were written by Yan Zhenqing.
