A site of QiongYa
The former site of "Yida" in QiongYa covers an area of 1839.09 square meters and a construction area of 994.26 square meters. The building is of brick and wood structure, built in 1920.
In June 1926, the first Congress of QiongYa was held here. After the liberation of Hainan in 1950, it became an office and accommodation for the army, Haikou and Hainan authorities. In 1984, the municipal government identified the site as the first batch of municipal cultural relics protection units.

The former site of the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China in QiongYa, formerly the ancestral residence of Qiu, was built in 1919, covering an area of 1793 square meters. The residence is located in the north and south, with two courtyard layout and east-west wing rooms. It is a typical residential building in Hainan. In 1924, Qiu Bingheng, the owner of Qiu's house, provided the house to the CPC Organization in QiongYa as the contact point of revolutionary activities, which was the source of the red flag of QiongYa's revolutionary struggle for 23 years.
In June 1926, the first Congress of the Communist Party of China in QiongYa was held here, attended by Yang Shanji, Wang Wenming, Luo Wenyan, Feng Ping, Xu Xiafu, Zhou Yi, he Deyu, Li Aichun, Huang Changwei, Chen Sanhua, Chen chuibin and Luo Han. The QiongYa local committee of the Communist Party of China, the highest leading body of the party organization in QiongYa, was elected at the meeting, marking a new stage in the revolutionary struggle of the Hainan people. Today, the former site has become an important modern revolutionary historical site in Hainan.
Cultural relics protection
In 1989, Haikou Municipal People's government announced that the former site of the first Congress of the Communist Party of China in QiongYa was a municipal key cultural relics protection unit; in 1994, Hainan Provincial People's government announced that the former site of the first Congress of the Communist Party of China in QiongYa was a provincial key cultural relics protection unit
In August 1996, Haikou municipal government began to repair the old site, remove the residents and demolish the buildings after the 1920s. On May 1, 2000, the site of the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China in QiongYa was officially opened to the public as a revolutionary traditional education base and tourist attraction.
