The Taipei Botanical Garden is owned by the Forestry Experimental Institute. It covers an area of 15 hectares with a cultivated area of about 11 hectares. There are more than 2000 kinds of plants planted in the garden, mainly subtropical trees. According to the Hutchins' plant system, it is divided into 17 districts and planted separately, just like a small forest. Historical development
During the Japanese colonial period (1896 AD), the Taipei nursery was built in the outer space of Xiaonanmen, Taipei, with an area of less than 5 hectares. Later, the nursery was managed and purchased by the Forestry Experimental Farm, with an area of up to 15 hectares. The mother trees collected from all over Taiwan or Japan were planted and planted with famous brands to popularize plant education. It was not until 1921 ad, when the Central Research Institute was established and the nursery was taken over by the Forestry Experimental Farm, that the nursery was officially changed It is called today's Taipei Botanical Garden and has collected tree species from all over the world. By 1930, 1120 species of plants had been planted in the botanical garden. In the Second World War, the construction of the park stopped and the trees withered away. After the restoration of Taiwan, the Forestry Experimental Institute reorganized the park and actively introduced and planted it, which gradually became the grand occasion of today's Taipei Botanical Garden.
There are various kinds of plants in the park, and the intention of the park can be seen at will.
