Baojie Bridge
Baojie bridge is located in the narrowest part of Lihu Lake in Binhu District, southwest of Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China. It consists of two bridges, the old and new, which were built in 1934 and 1994 respectively. Lihu lake is divided into East Lihu lake and West Lihu lake. It is also the only way from Wuxi City to Yuantouzhu scenic spot, Tang City, Three Kingdoms City, Shuihu city and other film and television bases.
The new and old Baojie bridges were donated by Rong Desheng, a famous industrialist from Wuxi, and the grandson and grandson of Rong Zhijian. In 1934, Rong Desheng celebrated his 60th birthday. He donated more than 60000 yuan of Shouyi presented by his relatives and friends. In 173 days, he built an old bridge in front of Baojie mountain, 375 meters long and 5.6 meters wide, with 60 holes (representing 60th birthday). At that time, it was the first bridge in the south of the Yangtze River.

In 1994, due to the development of Yuantouzhu scenic spot, CCTV continued to build a scenic spot south of baojieshan
Tang City, Three Kingdoms city and Shuihu City, as film and television bases, attract a large number of tourists, causing serious traffic congestion problem of Baojie bridge. In this case, Rong Yiren, the fourth son of Rong Desheng, and Rong Zhijian, the heir of Rong Zhijian, donated 30 million yuan to build a new bridge 10 meters east of the old bridge, 18.5 meters wide and 390.74 meters long. The opening ceremony was held on October 16, 1994. After the completion of the two bridges, Li Bai, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, expressed his poetic idea of "two rivers with bright mirrors and two bridges with rainbows". On the edge of Lihu lake, Li Bai's poetry became a living cultural scene, and his ancestors and grandchildren built the bridge, which is a good story.
In 2011, Baojie bridge was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province.
