Huangpu River Water Culture Museum Park
Minhang Huangpu River Culture Museum Park is a key tourism project in Shanghai suburbs. Located at No. 3805, Jiangchuan Road, Minhang District, Shanghai, it is a water ecological garden built by 3000 villagers of Pengdu village, Maqiao Town, Minhang District to protect the safety of drinking water intake in Shanghai, covering an area of 400 mu, adjacent to Huangpu River. It is not only a museum of ancient bridges, but also a conservation area for ancient trees. It is also a rare classical garden in Shanghai that integrates water, bridges, pavilions, platforms, buildings, pavilions, trees, flowers, grass and wood. Maqiao area is the site of Maqiao ancient culture. Maqiao ancient culture began 3900 years ago and ended 3200 years ago. It is distributed around Taihu Lake and is an important historical material for studying the history of Shanghai. By means of imitation, the simulation museum will truly show the life style of the ancestors of Maqiao culture and the geographical features of Maqiao site. The Huangpu River is the mother river of Shanghai. It has a history of more than 2000 years since the excavation of the Huangpu River in the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period and its formation in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The Huangpu River historical and cultural exhibition hall will systematically introduce the formation of the Huangpu River and the historical figures who have made outstanding contributions to its governance, as well as the historical events, documents and cultural relics related to the Huangpu River system, including historical celebrities Zhongyan, Hai Rui and Lin Zexu's memorials to the emperor at that time, inscriptions on governance projects and lyrical poems and essays show us the depth of history and the wisdom of our ancestors, and remind us of our ancestors and future generations.
Introduction to scenic spots
Huangpu River Water Culture Museum Park is located in the conservation forest of Xiejing Bay, upstream of Huangpu River in Maqiao area, close to Huangpu River. It is designed, invested and constructed by Shanghai Jiangchuan (Group) company. The first phase of the project is planned to be completed in October 2007.
Taking Huangpu River's history and culture as its connotation, the museum park is a large-scale and multi-functional ecological leisure park with river course, ancient bridge, ancient tree, stone tablet, sculpture, antique building, exhibition hall and square as its main components, simple, natural and wild taste as its style, popular science education, ecological demonstration and water culture exhibition as its main functions.
In the museum park, there are three popular science exhibition areas: Huangpu River water biology popular science park, Guqiao Museum and waterfowl popular science museum, among which Guqiao Museum and waterfowl popular science museum are still under construction.
