Zou Rong's tomb
Zou Rong (1885-1905) joined the patriotic society in 1903 to form the Chinese students' Union. He wrote the famous book "revolutionary army". He advocated the anti Qing revolution, called on the overthrow of the Qing government and the establishment of the Republic of China, praised the revolution as the world's justice, and called himself "a pawn in the revolutionary army". He was persecuted by the Qing government and the Shanghai concession authorities. Zhang Taiyan was arrested by the concession authorities after the Su Bao case Zou Rong threw himself into a house and was jailed in the public concession prison of Tilanqiao. About Zou Rong
In the spring of 1924, more than 20 people, including Zhang Taiyan, Cai Yuanpei, Zhang Shizhao, Yu Youren and Zhang Ji, made a special trip to Huajing to hold a public memorial ceremony, and promoted Liu San and Li Gengen to preside over the work of repairing tombs and erecting steles. At that time, the cemetery was higher than the farmland and surrounded by iron railings. To the south of the tomb, there was a round stone tomb, 2.36 meters high and 2.48 meters in diameter. In front of the tomb, the tomb of Zou Rong was engraved on the top of the blue stone. There is a stone tablet on the Shinto stone steps, engraved with Zhang Taiyan's seal script "as a gift to Zou Rong, the general of Baxian county". At the back of the tomb is a blue stone table written by Zhang Taiyan and Yu Youren. After the monument, there is a large and beautiful stone screen, which is majestic. There are stone pavilions on both sides. It was destroyed in the cultural revolution. In 1980, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of cultural relics rebuilt Zou Rong's tomb. The tomb area covers an area of more than one mu. The pedestal of the tomb faces south to the north and faces the main road. It is surrounded by evergreen pines and cypresses. It is solemn and solemn. On both sides are square green areas and widely planted with flowers and plants.
