Minhang mass art museum is a public welfare cultural institution set up by the state. The library has 25 professional and technical personnel and 35 staff, including 4 senior professional titles, 10 intermediate professional titles and 16 junior professional titles.

The museum consists of literature and art department, American film department, Counseling Department, administrative office, Minhang literature and art newspaper department and other business departments.

In 2003, it was awarded the title of "national advanced collective of serving farmers and grassroots culture" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of culture; in 2004, it was awarded the title of "Shanghai advanced cultural unit"; in the same year, it was awarded the title of "National first class mass art museum" by the Ministry of culture.

Over the years, the museum has formed a brand of planning and organizing municipal and district level art festivals and annual "Jinqiu Minhang Community Culture Festival" and other large-scale mass cultural activities.

Excellent works of literary and artistic creation are produced.
