Shanghai shuixia park is adjacent to Xianxia Road in the south, Shuicheng Road in the East and residential buildings in the West and North. In 1995, the total area of the park was 11800 square meters.

General situation

The garden site used to be farmland and river banks. At the end of 1987, in order to cooperate with the construction of Xianxia community, the Municipal People's government invested 850000 yuan to turn it into a park. Shanghai Landscape Design Institute is responsible for the overall planning and greening design of the project, and Shanghai Jingtai decoration engineering company is responsible for the construction. The park was named shuixia park after Shuicheng Road and Xianxia Road. It was officially opened to the public on New Year's day in 1992.

The north and south of the park are rectangular, and zhoujiabang runs through the park, dividing the park into East and west parts. The overall design uses the original water surface and takes "shuixia" as the theme. Trees stand in the east of the river, grass is green in the west of the river, and waterside pavilion and platform are set up beside the river. There is a waist shaped bush in the garden gate, covering an area of about 90 square meters. It is planted with summer cuckoo, chuisi Begonia, Mahonia sinensis, red bayberry ball and rare white cuckoo. In the south of the garden, there is a stone arch bridge 9.3 meters long and 1.86 meters wide across zhoujiabang. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the garden river. In the middle of the park, there is a children's heart pavilion with an area of 96 square meters. It is of reinforced concrete structure and looks like an ancient Western Castle. The platform in front of the pavilion covers an area of 33 square meters and faces water on three sides. Inside the pavilion, there are three small pavilions with square shape and sharp top, each with an area of 6 square meters and a height of 3.5 meters, 4 meters and 4.5 meters. The pavilion, terrace and pavilion are novel and unique, which is one of the best scenery in the garden. In the north of the garden, there is a water platform with an area of 124 square meters. Standing on the platform, you can watch the whole garden. In the north of the platform, an iron escalator is set up to connect the small island in the river, and a large velvet lawn is planted on the island. There are three glass fiber reinforced plastic umbrella shaped pavilions on the platform, each 2 meters high, with stone benches and stone platforms.

The park is low in the East and high in the west, and the plants are mainly native trees, which are planted in different seasons according to the terrain. To the east of Yuanhe, there is a forest belt more than 200 meters long and 40 meters wide, with stone path in the forest. From the south gate to the north gate in the west of the garden, there is a 3-4 meters wide, 0.5-3 meters high and 150 meters long undulating slope made of dredged river mud, forming a long green belt with plant communities in spring, summer, autumn and winter. It is planted with Podocarpus arvensis, Acer glauca, elm, hibiscus mutabilis, Euonymus Euonymus, Ginkgo biloba, beech, red Ruimu, Longbai, Sapium sebiferum, red maple, red leaf plum, etc., and Ophiopogon japonicus is planted on the ground. The lawn in the central part of the garden covers an area of more than 1000 square meters. The lawn is dotted with six tower shaped cedars, cherry blossoms, beech trees and pieces of Japanese Begonia, which looks like a little red in the green cluster. In the north of the garden are winter scenery plants such as nandianzhu, Chimonanthus praecox, Zizhu and Hubei suanpan. There are 93 species and 4012 trees in the garden, among which 3488 are shrubs, and the ratio of trees to shrubs is 1 ∶ 6.56.

There are bumper cars, FRP bumper boats, slides and other recreational facilities in the park.

Park Theme

The lake is the main body

Shuixia park takes the lake as the main body, and its two banks are connected by antique stone arch bridges. The landscape is distributed from north to south. The plant landscape in the park is the most characteristic, with four seasonal plant communities in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The north and south of the park are rectangular, and zhoujiabang runs through the park, dividing the park into East and west parts.

The theme of "water haze"

There is a feldspar arch bridge across zhoujiabang in the south of the garden. Standing on the bridge, you can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the garden river. In the middle of the park, there is a children's heart pavilion with an area of 96 square meters. It is of reinforced concrete structure and looks like an ancient Western Castle.
