According to preliminary measurement, Tongling waterfall is 168 meters high and 30 meters wide. It is the largest waterfall in China. Throughout the year, waterfall water flies down, water mist soars, sound like thunder, imposing momentum. There are cliffs on both sides of the waterfall, open and hidden rivers at the bottom of the valley, towering ancient trees around, and old vines blocking out the sun. It has invested more than 20 million yuan in development and construction in accordance with the idea of "planning first, development later" and "building a strong border tourism county". The scenic spot was opened in October 1998. By November 2006, it had received more than 1.8 million tourists from home and abroad, with a total income of 42 million yuan and a tax revenue of 6 million yuan. The development of the scenic area has led to the rapid development of the tertiary industry in the county. The number of tourists in the city increased from 1.2 million in 2002 to 4.05 million in 2005, an increase of 237.5%, with an average annual growth of 59.4%, ranking the first in Guangxi; the comprehensive tourism income increased from 278 million yuan in 2002 to 1.53 billion yuan in 2005, with an average annual growth of 112.6%, ranking the second in Guangxi. In the first 10 months of 2006, the city received 4.19397 million tourists, with a total tourism income of 1.276 billion yuan. Tourism has gradually become the leading industry of the tertiary industry in the old area of Baise. Baise tourism has rapidly risen and become a new important pole of Guangxi tourism.
