Yunqi town is an industrial town dominated by cloud ecology, which Xihu District plans to build relying on Alibaba cloud company and Zhuantang science and technology economic park. Yunqi town is an ecological gathering place of cloud computing industry. Using big data computing to turn simple data into production factors, the town is to build an ecological system of "symbiosis, common prosperity and sharing" around the characteristics of cloud computing industry.

In 2015, Alibaba cloud developer conference was officially renamed as "yunqi conference" and settled permanently in Yunqi Town, Xihu District. On May 24, 2018, yunqi town was selected into the top 50 most beautiful characteristic towns. Yunqi town is located in the south of Hangzhou West Lake District and the core area of Hangzhou Zhijiang National Tourist Resort. It is one of the first ten demonstration characteristic industrial towns in Zhejiang Province. The planning area of the town is 3.5 square kilometers, and 200000 square meters of industrial space has been put into use in 2016. It is planned to gradually build more than 1 million square meters of buildings for industrial development within three years.

Town planning

After Hangzhou municipal government approved in August 2002, the park was initially positioned as a traditional industrial park.

In 2005, the park changed its orientation again, leading the development of high-tech industries and enterprise headquarters industries such as biomedicine, electronic information, mechatronics and new energy.

In October 2012, the park adjusted its development thinking again and decided to take "cloud industry" as the main direction of future development.

The person in charge of the town said that from the industrial point of view, it is the transformation from the first industry to the third industry, and it is the integrated development of production, life and ecology.

The goal of Xihu District is to gather thousands of cloud related enterprises through 3-5 years of development, covering cloud computing applications, such as app development, games, Internet finance, mobile Internet, data mining and other fields, to form a complete cloud computing industry chain, with an output value of 10 billion yuan and a tax revenue of more than 500 million yuan.

In addition, in the "yunqi town", Xihu District also plans to build a 5000 square meter IT industry history museum to show the development process of Internet IT industry characterized by cloud computing. At the same time, in cooperation with Alibaba cloud company, an alicloud Technology College (yunqi College) will be set up in the Park to provide cloud computing technology training and learning exchange for enterprises in the park And so on.

In 2016, the town has introduced 433 enterprises including Alibaba cloud, Foxconn Technology, Intel, AVIC, ginkgo Valley capital, Huatong cloud data, shumeng workshop and Rococo design group, among which 321 are involved in cloud. The industry covers big data, app development, games, Internet finance, mobile Internet and other fields, and has initially formed a relatively complete cloud computing industry ecology.

From January to August 2016, the town achieved a total revenue of 245 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 108.18%. With the emergence of cloud computing industry agglomeration effect, the small town is closely around innovation and entrepreneurship, building an innovation ecosystem of "innovation ranch industry black soil technology blue sky" to promote industrial development.

Among them, "innovation Ranch" is the stage for grassroots entrepreneurs, integrating world-class basic services such as design, R & D, manufacturing, testing, e-commerce and financing, focusing on supporting and helping the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises with Entrepreneurship and innovation, and through a new service system, making yunqi town a fertile land for "mass entrepreneurship and innovation".

For example, "Taofu come true" is a key project to support small and medium-sized micro intelligent hardware enterprises and entrepreneurs on the innovation ranch platform.
