Laohe mountain is located in Hangzhou West Lake scenic spot, adjacent to Xixi Wetland in the west, West Lake in the East and Lingyin scenic spot in the south.

At the foot of the mountain is Zhejiang University, a famous university with a history of 100 years. When you climb Laohe mountain, you can sit on Zhejiang University and overlook the West Lake. You can see the Qiantang River faintly. When you look to the north, you can see the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University clearly. The biggest forum of Zhejiang University is misty. The beginning of shuiyunjian's annual "Yixing" is in the lover slope at the foot of Laohe mountain.

Climbing routes

Route to laoheshan in Hangzhou:

(1) From Lingfeng tanmei scenic spot to Juyue Pavilion, you can reach the top of Lingfeng mountain along the mountain road beside the pavilion. From here, you can go southeast to Meimei mountain, Jiangjun mountain, Qinting mountain and Laohe mountain. You can go down the mountain to Gudang (there are three mountain roads on the hillside, please pay attention to choose, the one on the far right is better). Northwest can reach Ruiyun peak and north peak.

(2) From the side road of Gudang west station, you can climb Laohe mountain. Although the route is steep up and down the mountain, it is not long. After climbing to the top of the mountain, walk along the ridge line, the road is relatively flat, walk slowly for two hours, you can swim the whole line. It is the best route to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Xixi.

Standing on the top of the mountain and facing the strong breeze, he suddenly has the spirit of being on top of the mountain and seeing all the mountains. Many Zhejiang university students have experienced such heroism, because they can climb mountains on campus. Starting from the lover's slope of Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University, Laohe mountain is close at hand. This is also the starting point for the perseverance organized by the students of Zhejiang University every year.

Young, energetic, when you see a young figure in front of you running and jumping up the steps, just a passer-by, there will be a sense of blood resurrection. Following the young students, they walked up the mountain with great strides, running and jumping. The mountain, which is more than 100 meters high, soon reached the top.

Climbing Laohe mountain, you can look around. At the foot of the mountain, there are layers of buildings. You can see the Yuquan campus and Gudang houses. Further away, the twin towers of Huanglong Sports Center stand tall. If the weather is fine and the visibility is high, you can still aim at the corner of the West Lake. The boats on the lake can be seen faintly, and even have fierce eyes. It is said that you can see the Xixi River and the Qiantang River. Zhejiang University campus is famous for its small mountains. Hangzhou is a city that encourages hiking. There are many warm tips on the top of the mountain. Laohe mountain is the same. A stone map on the platform on the top of the mountain lists the road directions in detail: going forward, you will find Qinting mountain, Jiangjun mountain, Meimei mountain and Meifeng mountain. Going down, you will find Lingfeng and tanmei. Going further, you will find the north peak.

The most conventional route is to head for the north peak. Although the altitude of the north peak is no more than 300 meters, it is already relatively high in the mountains around the West Lake, so everyone regards it as the highest peak in Hangzhou. In the middle of winter, when it is still snowing at the foot of the mountain, thin snow often accumulates on the North Peak.

From Laohe mountain to beigaofeng, the road is full of beautiful scenery, broad vision and students passing by continuously. Qingshiban road extends along the ridge line. On both sides of the road, there are forests of green trees and luxuriant grass. You can walk and stop. In about two hours, you can see the God of wealth temple in the north peak. Every year on the fifth day of the lunar new year, when the God of wealth Bodhisattva's birthday, there are a lot of people here, asking for a good start in the new year. At the foot of the mountain is the famous Lingyin Temple, which has a leisurely day.
