Futuo Temple
Futuo temple, also known as Baolong temple and Baoyan courtyard, is located in Futuo mountain in the north of Baizhang Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou city. Futuo temple was listed as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in 1986.
Historical evolution
According to the annals of Yuhang County written by Jiaqing of Qing Dynasty, "baoyanyuan is located in the ancient city boundary 120 miles north of the county. Its old name is Baolong. It was founded by Seng juehai in 912, the second year of Qianhua of Liang Dynasty, and its present name was changed in 1065, the second year of Zhiping of Song Dynasty. It was destroyed by soldiers at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt at the beginning of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty. In 1655, Baolong temple was rebuilt. During the reign of Guangxu in tongzhi (1862-1908), the abbot senggensheng and Qingshan raised money to rebuild and expand on a large scale. Today, there is only one main hall on the top of a hard hill with horse head walls on both sides. It is 14.24 meters wide and 16.45 meters deep. In the inner four boundaries, the spine (12.5 meters high) is used, and four steps are taken in front and back to replace the beam, with a two-step corridor.
Brief introduction of Futuo Temple
In the second year of Qianhua of Liang Dynasty (912), Seng Jue Haichuang changed his name. It was destroyed by soldiers at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt at the beginning of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty. In 1655, Baolong temple was rebuilt. During the reign of Guangxu in tongzhi (1862-1908), the abbot senggensheng and Qingshan raised money to rebuild and expand on a large scale. Now there is only one main hall left. Futuo temple is famous for its beautiful scenery. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with quiet scenery and towering ancient trees. It is also known as "Ten Mile bamboo sea, hundred Zhang spruce, thousand year old temple, and ten thousand year old Tiaoxi". It is called Futuo Temple because of its beautiful scenery, surrounded by mountains, like the support of a cauldron, and a depression like a pot in the middle. Walk with ease, rugged mountain road, bamboo shade, brilliant mountain flowers! The palace is open. Beam, Fang, arch and so on, carved exquisite, magnificent momentum. In front of the temple, there are more than ten towering Cryptomeria fortunei trees with a girth of four or five meters, and a towering golden ancient pine on the roadside, both of which are four or five hundred years old. The mountain is covered with green bamboo, pine and fir, and the stream is winding. Futuo temple was listed as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in 1986.

Hangzhou bus route: take bus No. 313 / K313 at Hangzhou north bus station to Pingyao, and then turn to k499 to Baizhang. 3. Take the bus from Shanghai South Station to Anji, then take the bus from Anji to Hangzhou, and get off at Baizhang town Futuo Temple scenic spot. There is a taxi at the entrance of the scenic spot; (you can also take the train to Hangzhou city station, and then take the bus to Baizhang town at north bus station.)
