Beijing Baigong museum is located in Longtanhu Road, Chongwen District. It opened to the outside world in 2005. Development history

Beijing Baigong Museum, also known as Baigongfang, collects "Baigong's unique skills" and "works handed down from generation to generation" - all of which are the quintessence of the Chinese nation. The word "Baigong" originated from KAOGONGJI, an official book of Qi State in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, special institutions were set up for the production of Royal handicrafts. In the Yuan Dynasty, they were called the Ministry of work, in the Ming Dynasty, Shaofu supervisor, and in the Qing Dynasty, they were called "Baigongfang".

Baigongfang is the first in Beijing. With a total area of 42000 square meters, there are nearly 100 art categories, and more than 100 arts and crafts masters set up characteristic workshops and master studios here. The main exhibition area, comprehensive exhibition area, audio-visual education area, academic exchange and discussion area, appraisal area and comprehensive service area are included. The first phase of the project was opened at the end of 2003 and has received tens of thousands of Chinese and foreign tourists from all walks of life. It has held academic seminars, collection auctions, master lectures, gem identification, design competitions and other activities.

In March 2005, Beijing Baigongfang was officially approved as a museum - Baigong Museum, which is also the first "living" Museum in Beijing. Different from other museums, visitors can not only appreciate various kinds of folk handicrafts and understand the development history of various kinds of handicrafts, but also have close contact with more than 100 folk handicrafts masters from all over the country to create and discuss with them. Baigong museum is jointly established and supported by Beijing municipal government and Chongwen District government, and is sponsored by Beijing Arts and crafts industry

The association is jointly established with the arts and crafts industry associations of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shaanxi and other eight provinces. The overall construction area of Baigong museum is 42000 square meters. There are more than 200 kinds of crafts and techniques, and more than 17000 masterpieces can be collected. All masters entering the Baigong museum must bring an apprentice, so that they can inherit and innovate these skills.

Baigong museum is the first large-scale comprehensive cultural service platform of Arts and crafts in China to gather national masters, display and promote their skills and works, and spread culture. The museum has the following exhibitions:

First floor: Italian jewelry, pearl shop, Baigong gift shop, surname Mingtang, sculpture shop, Hu Tongzhang, folk arts and crafts, Baigong teahouse, embroidery shop, leading to snack bar area

Third floor: Baigongfang boutique hall, baigongtang meeting, Dianshi craft, Huasi jewelry, cloisonne, ivory carving workshop, jade workshop; fourth floor: Russian oil painting exhibition, modern Chinese painting exhibition, Beijing folk custom, classical furniture exhibition, golden lacquer works exhibition.

Venue features

One of the highlights of Beijing Baigong museum is the master. There are: Cloisonne Master Zhang Tonglu; jade carving masters Li Bosheng and Guo Shilin; clay figurine Zhang chuanren, Professor Zhang Chang; material master Xing Lanxiang; arts and Crafts Master Li bangxiu; paper cutting master Xu Yang and so on.

One of the highlights of Baigongfang is art. Baigongfang is responsible for the imitation of the Imperial Palace Museum's 25 seals, which is famous all over the country. Baigongfang is not only a collection and distribution center for traditional craftsmen and masterpieces, but also a large number of rare works of the new generation, such as the unique Hutong Culture of Hutong Zhang, the bionic animal led by shopkeeper Xiao, the uncanny craftsmanship of Yin Guosheng and the art gourd of huluji. The selling point of Beijing Baigong museum is colorful. The "four famous dans" and "Eight Wonders of Yanjing" in the field of Arts and crafts: ivory carving, jade carving, jingtailan, gold inlay, palace carpet, Beijing embroidery, silk inlay and carved lacquer all blossom and bear fruit here, and the talented people in all aspects of Arts and crafts set up an altar here to discuss swords.

With the special permission of the industry, China Baigong museum can be produced, displayed and sold at the same time. This is another unique collection world, attracting people who come here every day. Eric Drucker, President of the International Tourism Federation, once visited here and happily wrote: "this is the Louvre of the people's Republic of China.".
