Cuiwei mountain

Cuiwei mountain is a place name. There are cuiweishan in Beijing and cuiweishan in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. Cuiwei mountain in Beijing is located at the junction of Shijingshan District and Haidian District. It is one of the peaks on the southeast slope of Xiangyu Daliang, and corresponds to Xiangshan in the north.

The mountain is gentle, formerly known as pingpo mountain, which was named after pingpo temple in the Tang Dynasty; in the early years of Hongxi in the Ming Dynasty (1425), it was renamed Cuiwei mountain. There are many ancient temples at the southern foot of the mountain, including Chang'an temple, Lingguang temple, Sanshan temple, Dabei temple, longwangtang temple, Xiangjie temple, Baozhu cave, Zhengguo temple, etc. There is also Fahai Temple built in the Ming Dynasty at the foot of the southwest mountain.
