Meifu temple, also known as Meifu temple, ascends from the west gate and passes through a passage of stone slabs to Meifu temple. It is said that Meifu nunnery was built in memory of Wei Meifu who came to the mountain to practice Taoism in Nanchang in the Western Han Dynasty. Meifu Temple rises on the slope, surrounded by deep trees and small scale, but the main hall is resplendent. Lingyou cave on the east side of the main hall is Meifu alchemy cave, which is said to be the place where Meizi zhenshuo Dan was born in Han Dynasty. The mountain spring in the cave is clear and contains a variety of minerals. It is called "fairy water". Visitors can drink more here.
Meifu Temple
Meifu nunnery is located at the west gate of Yongning Street. In 1880, the monks of Putuo Mountain were good at cultivating and worshipping a statue of Guanyin Buddha. After some twists and turns and choices, they decided that Yongning "carries five tigers and faces Golden Lion, and the East China Sea and the west purple". They decided to build a Buddhist temple here to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Meifuan, Fujian
Shanxiu and Chua Hui Yang, a local sage, went south to the Philippines to raise money, which was strongly supported by overseas Chinese and local Shanxin. On the sixth day of the first month of the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the construction of the temple was started. On the 15th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the temple was completed with the main hall, the earth palace and the stage. It is dedicated to the "Buddha" of Guanyin and has 28 statues of Buddha, named "Meifu Temple". Since then, the South China Sea Guanyin God stationed in Yongning, Meifu spring breeze blowing Aocheng. In 1997, there were two people living in an Cai Gu.
Meifu nunnery, also known as meicen temple, was originally a Taoist temple, but later Buddhism came to the mountain. There lived Sakyamuni, Amitabha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and so on in the nunnery. It is said that during the cultural revolution, the young monks in Putuo Mountain were moved back down the mountain, while the old ones stayed and gathered them and all the nuns here. Today, there is only one 88 year old monk left in this nunnery. After his death, there were only nuns left. If you come to Meifu nunnery, you can have a look at the old monk. After being instructed, we went into the courtyard and turned left into a hall. It happened that the old monk was sitting opposite a little nun with a Sichuan accent, laughing and talking. The little nun said as she worked on a travel bag. The old monk has a young face, and the little nun talks.
The original trace of Meifu nunnery is in the alchemy cave, which is located at the back of the main hall in the nunnery. It is also known as Lingyou cave. It is said that it was chiseled by Meifu at that time. The cave is about 4 meters wide and secluded. The top walls are rugged, either like dragons and tigers, or like lions and elephants, ingenious and lifelike. Inside the cave, there is a statue of Mei Fu. There is a spring flowing from the mouth of the gourd in the "fairy hall", which is clear and sweet. Outside the cave, there is a well for alchemy. The well water is clear to the bottom, and there is spring water flowing into the well wall. Its sound is clear and crisp, just like a jade plate falling from a pearl.
Meifuan, Zhejiang
Meifu temple, also known as Meifu temple, is located in Putuo Mountain, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. From the west gate up, through a section of stone channel, that is to Meifu temple.
It is said that Meifu nunnery was built in memory of Wei Meifu who came to the mountain to practice Taoism in Nanchang in the Western Han Dynasty. Mei Fu, a native of Shouchun in the Western Han Dynasty, once served as a lieutenant in Nanchang. Later, he abandoned his official position and traveled in the rivers and lakes. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, it was built by master rujun. In the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt by Zen master zhaozuo. During the Guangxu period, master Longzhang built a palace and built a pavilion, which formed a large scale. Today, there are still some buildings such as Tianwang hall and Daxiong Hall. A quasi revision was carried out in 1982.
