China International Exhibition Center
China International Exhibition Center is located in jing'anzhuang, North Third Ring Road East, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Designed by Beijing Architectural Design Institute. It covers an area of 150000 square meters, including 60000 square meters of indoor exhibition area and 7000 square meters of outdoor exhibition area. The structure system includes grid structure, reinforced concrete structure and steel structure. It has seven largest exhibition halls in China, including No.1 exhibition hall (main hall), with a total construction area of more than 50000 square meters.
In September 2016, China International Exhibition Center pavilions 2-5 were selected into the "first batch of Chinese 20th century architectural heritage" list.
Introduction to the exhibition hall

Li road extends in all directions, 10 kilometers from the city center, 5 kilometers from the embassy area, 20 kilometers from the airport, surrounded by more than 20 star hotels. The venue is well equipped with water, electricity, heating, cooling, telecommunications and other supporting facilities; there are large lecture hall, conference room, technical exchange room, trade negotiation room and restaurant for holding large-scale exhibitions and conferences. Customs, transportation, construction, tourism, hotel, goods leasing, catering and other services for the exhibition are provided with office or supporting facilities in the center. Exhibitors can get various services related to the exhibition without leaving the hospital.
Up to January 2009, China International Exhibition Center held more than 100 exhibitions every year, with an exhibition area of more than 1 million square meters. Most of these exhibitions have great influence at home and abroad. Among them, the top four international professional exhibitions are organic bed exhibition, textile machinery exhibition, metallurgy, casting, forging and industrial furnace exhibition; the printing technology exhibition, machine tool exhibition, metallurgy, casting, forging and industrial furnace exhibition are recognized by the International Expo alliance; the well-known international professional exhibitions are automobile exhibition, chemical industry exhibition, telecommunication exhibition and computing exhibition As a comprehensive exhibition, Beijing International Expo and Asia Pacific Expo are well-known. As of January 2009, there are 31 regular exhibitions in China International Exhibition Center, most of which have a cycle of two years, and some of which have a cycle of one year, three years or four years. The auto show and the first philatelic show are considered to be popular in Beijing. Chinese President Jiang Zemin and other party and state leaders came to visit the auto show; the president of the Swiss Federation, the president of France and other political figures from other countries also came to visit the textile machinery exhibition and the logistics exhibition, which fully reflected the role and influence of these exhibitions. While consolidating regular exhibitions, the exhibition center has cultivated and established some famous brand exhibitions by transplanting foreign famous brand exhibitions and jointly organizing exhibitions, which not only opens up exhibition sources, but also increases profits.
Historical development
In April 1979, with the approval of the State Council, the leaders of Beijing Municipality issued a document to approve the requisition of 200000 square meters of land near Taiyanggong, Chaoyang District, Beijing as the land for the foreign trade exhibition hall.
In January 1985, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce issued a business license for China International Exhibition Center.
In August 1985, Comrade Deng Xiaoping inscribed the name of the China International Exhibition Center.
In October 1985, the first phase of China International Exhibition Center was completed.
In November 1985, China International Exhibition Center received the first large-scale international exhibition, Asia Pacific International Trade Fair (AspAT'85).
In 1987, China International Exhibition Center was selected as "Beijing's top ten buildings in 1980s".
In October 1988, at the 54th annual conference of UFI held in Jakarta, Indonesia, China International Exhibition Center officially joined UFI and became the only member of UFI.
In July 1989, the first Beijing International Expo was held in China International Exhibition Center, which was the first time for China to hold comprehensive, regular, regional and international expositions.
In June 1990, China International Exhibition Center won the Madrid International Business Service Award.
In June 1992, the second phase of China International Exhibition Center was built. In September of the same year, the Royal Beijing Hotel, a four-star hotel jointly built by CCPIT and SAS group of northern Europe, officially opened. At this time, China International Exhibition Center integrates exhibition, conference, accommodation and entertainment, with all kinds of pavilions, lecture halls, conference rooms, negotiation rooms, Chinese and Western restaurants, bars, dance halls, tennis courts, gymnasiums, etc. customs, animal and plant quarantine, outward transportation, engineering construction units, etc. are also working at the site, with the ability to hold and receive various types of comprehensive and professional exhibitions The conditions of conferences and expositions and conferences.
In July 1993, China International Exhibition Center, China International Exhibition Engineering Co., Ltd. merged with some organizations of overseas exhibition department to form China International Exhibition Company. It has formed a business system with exhibition industry as the core, integrating domestic exhibition, overseas exhibition and Exhibition Engineering, and supporting relevant services.
In 1993, the Beijing International Machine Tool Exhibition held in China International Exhibition Center was identified as the world's fourth largest machine tool exhibition by international peers.
In June 1994, the main hall project of China International Exhibition Center was completed. In the same year, the 5th Asia Pacific International Trade Fair was held here.
In February 1995, China International Exhibition Center joined the International Exhibition Management Association (IAEM)
In April 1999, China Council for the promotion of international trade submitted a project proposal for the construction of new China International Exhibition Center to the State Planning Commission. The project site is located in Airport Industrial City, Shunyi district.
In June 2000, China International Exhibition Corporation became the chairman unit of China Association of exhibition halls.
In September 2001, "China Exhibition Group" and "China International Exhibition Center Group Company" were officially registered and established, becoming a group enterprise integrating venue management, domestic exhibition, overseas exhibition and Exhibition Engineering, covering all aspects of the exhibition industry chain.
In December 2002, the exhibition group passed the ISO9001 certification, and its management and service are close to international standardization.
In January 2005, the national development and Reform Commission approved the "new China International Exhibition Center remote reconstruction" project.
In December 2005, a foundation laying ceremony was held in the new pavilion of China International Exhibition Center.
In March 2008, the new China International Exhibition Center officially opened.
