Zhaoxian Temple
Zhaoxianmiao is a municipal cultural relics protection unit. It is located in Beichang street, Xicheng District. It was built in 1732, the 10th year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty, to worship the God of thunder. The temple faces south from the north and the gate of the outer wall faces east. On the central axis, there is a shadow wall, 22 meters long and 3.5 meters high, with green glazed tiles and big ridges.

Brief introduction to temples
The main buildings are Mountain Gate, bell and Drum Tower, front hall, middle hall and back hall. There are three mountain gates, and the stone inscription "Chijian Zhaoxian Temple" in chuangmen. There are eight character walls on both sides. Inside the gate, there are bell and drum towers. There are three front halls, with green glazed tiles on the top of Xieshan ridge. There are three middle halls, with Xieshan ridge, yellow glazed tiles and green trimmings. In front of the hall, there are five steps with royal road, with two dragons playing with pearls. In the back hall, there are five back halls, with Xieshan ridge, yellow glazed tiles and green trimmings, with auxiliary halls. Only shadow wall and back hall remain in the original building. During the period of the Republic of China, Beijing Education Association was established here. In 1925, the National Congress was held here. Later, it was used by beichangjie primary school. In 1984, the protection area and construction control zone were delimited. The protection area includes the use area of beichangjie primary school, the planning red line in the East, and the school wall in the south, West and North.
