Xiaotangshan town is located in the north of Beijing, Southeast of Changping new city, on the north extension line of Qianmen and the central axis of the Forbidden City. It is 13 kilometers away from the capital airport and 16 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. The town covers a total area of 70.1 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 55737 (2010). The town governs 24 administrative villages, 4 communities and more than 120 central, municipal and district units.

Xiaotangshan town has rich hot spring resources since ancient times. The hot spring palace culture has a long history. Today, there are still the bath ruins of Qianlong's imperial pen "Jiuhua Xixiu" and Cixi's bath. In the town, there are four main arteries of Liuhuan expressway, Jingcheng expressway, shunsha road and Litang Road, Tangshang Road, Baima road and other branches crisscross with convenient transportation, forming a mature and complete transportation network There are nine rivers such as Wenyu River, Mengzu River and Hulu river passing through the territory, and Wenyu River flows from west to East through the southern border of the town; there are national north nursery stock base, Jingcheng Expressway green belt, Sixth Ring Road green belt, Wenyu River green belt and other forest resources, covering an area of nearly 20000 mu, with an average forest coverage rate of 63%, and a beautiful natural environment. In 2014, the total rural economic income of the town reached 3.367 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%; the per capita labor income was 17700 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%; the total tax revenue was 1.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31%.

Xiaotangshan town is one of the first batch of pilot towns in Beijing. It has been identified as a small town for sustainable development in China by the United Nations development program, a pilot town for comprehensive reform of national small towns by the Ministry of construction and other six ministries and commissions, and awarded the honorary title of "National beautiful environment town" by the State Environmental Protection Administration. In 2005, it was named as "China's hot spring town" by the China Federation of mining industry In 2009, it was identified by Beijing municipal government as one of the city's 42 key small towns. On October 14, 2016, Xiaotangshan Town, Changping District, Beijing was listed as the first batch of small towns with Chinese characteristics.

Xiaotangshan town has a long history, especially famous for its geothermal hot springs. The Aviation Museum, which is the largest in Asia and has the most famous aircrafts at home and abroad, is located in Xiaotangshan town. In 1994, it was designated as the pilot town of small town construction by Beijing municipal government and the Ministry of construction of the people's Republic of China. In 1995, it was designated as the only pilot town of comprehensive reform at the national level in Beijing by 11 ministries and commissions including the national physical Reform Commission It provides a rare historical opportunity for China's all-round development. Geography

Xiaotangshan town is located on the dragon vein of Beijing, 10 km southeast of Changping Satellite City in the west, 17 km south of Asian Games Village and 16 km east of capital airport, with a total area of 70.1 square kilometers. The town has 24 administrative villages, 3 neighborhood committees and more than 80 central, municipal and district units with a total population of 42000. Xiaotangshan town has three unique comparative advantages

First, geothermal resources are abundant.

According to the evaluation report of hot water resources under hot fields in Xiaotang mountain area of Beijing submitted by Beijing Institute of geological engineering survey, the total area of hot fields is 86.5 square kilometers, which is delineated by the depth of 2000 meters and the temperature of well outlet water greater than 40 ° C. Xiaotangshan used to be the only natural hot spring area in Beijing plain. There were 9 natural hot springs exposed at the foot of Datang and Xiaotangshan, with the highest temperature of 52 ℃. In the late 1970s, spring water gradually disappeared and turned to drilling and exploitation. The maximum water temperature of the hot well in the hot field is more than 70 ℃, which is located in the south of changxingzhuang in the middle of the hot field. In the area of 86.5 square kilometers, according to the depth of 3000 meters, the heat stored in the thermal field is equivalent to the calorific value of 650 million tons of standard coal. If the annual average drop of hot water level is 1.5 meters, the recoverable amount is 4.372 million cubic meters per year, which is the most favorable area for the development and utilization of geothermal resources in Beijing plain.

Second, the location advantage is obvious.

The traffic is convenient. Litang road runs through the north and south, shashun road runs through the East and West, and the sixth ring road passes through. There are more than 30 municipal, district and town level backbone highways in the town. 912, 845, 803, 949 and other buses go directly to Beijing. The infrastructure is sound, in addition to better road traffic, there are 10000 tons of sewage treatment plant, Asuwei landfill, modern middle school, municipal excellent cultural square and so on.

Third, the natural environment is beautiful.

There are two big Tangshan and small Tangshan in the town. The eight main tributaries of Wenyu River system flow through our town from west to East. The per capita area of public green space in the town reaches 35 square meters, the forest coverage rate reaches 53%, the farmland forest network rate reaches 96.1%, and the per capita area of public green space in the town center reaches 54 square meters. There are 20 municipal garden style units in the town, accounting for 71% of the units with more than 2000 square meters of courtyard, meeting the requirements of garden style small towns.

History and culture

Xiaotangshan, an ancient hot spring town, has a profound hot spring culture. In November 2005, it was named "China hot spring town" by China Mining Association. Xiaotangshan hot spring has a history of 1500 years. In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei dynasty recorded that "wet water and East, through Changping County, warm water injection, the treatment of disease has been proved"; in the Yuan Dynasty, the court regarded Xiaotangshan hot spring as "Shengtang"; Xiaotangshan hot spring was used for medical bathing, which was recorded as early as in Dayuan Yitong Zhi. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Xiaotangshan was designated as a forbidden area for feudal emperors to travel around the world; Emperor Qianlong built Tangquan palace here and wrote an inscription "Jiuhua Xixiu". The site of Empress Dowager Cixi's bath still exists today. In Xiaotangshan sanatorium, the site of Cixi bath and the handwriting of "Jiuhua Xixiu" written by Emperor Qianlong are preserved. During the period of the Republic of China, Tangshan Park was built. During the Anti Japanese War, it was destroyed by the war. After the founding of new China, Xiaotangshan sanatorium was built here. Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other party and state leaders visited here many times. Guo Moruo, a great writer, wrote an impromptu poem "niannujiao · chanting this spring · Xiaotangshan" when he visited Xiaotangshan.

The per capita labor income was 7865 yuan, up 9.2% year on year. Tax revenue reached 105 million yuan, an increase of 29.2% over the same period last year, breaking through the 100 million yuan mark for the first time.
