Fuxue Hutong
Fuxue hutong is located in the northwest of Dongcheng District. It starts from Dongsi North Street in the East, ends at Jiaodaokou South Street in the west, connects with zhongjianzi Lane in the south, connects with beijianzi lane and Wencheng Lane in the north, and is under the jurisdiction of Jiaodaokou sub district office. In 1984, it was designated as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.

Creation process
Fuxue Hutong, belonging to jiaozhongfang in Ming Dynasty, is called Fuxue Hutong, which is named after shuntianfu school. The predecessor of shuntianfu school was Baoen temple in Yuan Dynasty. In the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, the capital of the people's Republic of China was founded in Nanjing, and most of them were changed to Beiping Prefecture. Therefore, Guozijian in Yuan Dynasty was changed to Beiping government school, and Baoen temple was used as Daxing County school. In the first year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (1403), Peiping was promoted to shuntianfu, and Fuxue was changed to Guozijian. Daxing and Wanping County schools were abolished and Daxing County school was upgraded to shuntianfu school. In the Qing Dynasty, the name of Hutong remained unchanged, and it became a place for Beijing scholars to study, study and test. According to the records of shuntianfu annals, the west of shuntianfu school is Xuegong and Confucius Temple, the East is the ancestral hall of Prime Minister Wen, and then the East is Wenchang ancestral hall. Fuxue hutong is an important street in Dongcheng District with many cultural relics. The 36th courtyard opposite shuntianfu school is said to be Tianfu, the home of tianguifei, Emperor Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty. It is now occupied by Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics. There is Duan Qirui's residence when he was Prime Minister of the Beiyang government at the east end of the Hutong, which is now the residence of the first detachment of the Beijing Municipal armed police.
Historical story
It is reported that a monk built a temple here at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. After the temple was built, no Buddha statue was placed. The Ming army attacked most of the people. The monk was afraid that the temple just built would be occupied by the Ming army. He heard that the Ming army protected the site of Confucius sage. In a hurry, he placed a wooden statue of Confucius in the temple, and the Ming army did not enter. However, the image of Confucius has been moved in, and it can not be used for other purposes.
