China Telecom Museum
China Telecom museum is a national comprehensive museum of communication industry. It is a window to show the history of China's communication development, a specialized agency for collecting, keeping and researching Telecom cultural relics, and a cultural base for disseminating science and technology knowledge. It is located in Zhongguancun High-tech Development Park, a gathering of scientific and cultural institutions in the capital, northeast of Xuezhi intersection, Haidian District, Beijing.
In 1983, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications set up the Preparatory Office of the China Post and Telecommunications Museum; on August 30, 1999, the China Post and Telecommunications Museum received the 22nd UPU Congress delegation for the first time. In September 2001, it was renamed China Telecom Museum, which belongs to China Telecom Corporation. On October 30 of the same year, China Telecom museum was officially opened to the public. At present, there are more than 17000 cultural relics in the collection, with an exhibition area of more than 7000 square meters.
In May 2009, China Telecom museum was rated as a national second-class Museum.

In 1983, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications established the Preparatory Office of China Post and Telecommunications Museum
On August 30, 1999, the Chinese Museum of Posts and Telecommunications received the 22nd UPU Congress delegation for the first time, which was well received by all walks of life.
In September 2001, it was renamed China Telecom Museum, which belongs to China Telecom Corporation. On October 30 of the same year, China Telecom museum was officially opened to the public.
From 2007 to 2008, China Telecom Museum won the honor of nine key exhibition venues of Beijing Olympic Games recommended by Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, and completed the exhibition and reception during the Beijing Olympic Games.
In 2008, China Telecom museum was awarded the title of advanced member by China Association of natural science museums.
In May 2009, China Telecom museum was rated as a national second-class Museum.

Collection
Weston heavy hammer corrugated telegraph
In 1901, Shanghai telegraph office began to use the more advanced Weston telegraph machine at that time, and no longer used the key when sending messages. The sending speed can reach up to 300 Chinese characters per minute.
Common telephone
It is powered by telephone exchange office. It appeared in 1882. It is simpler than the magnetite telephone. It has no dial and magnetite generator.
Common electric manual telephone exchange agent
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was imported from the Western Electric Company of the United States, which was originally installed in the summer palace for the use of the Qing government. Later, it was moved to Jinan, Tangshan, Xuzhou and other places until it was retired in Dafeng, Jiangsu Province in 1987. This is the seat of the crew.
Vacuum transmitter
Vacuum tube is a kind of electronic component, the working electrode is encapsulated in a vacuum container (the wall of the tube is mostly glass), so it is named. In 1906, American scientist de Forrester applied for the patent of vacuum triode amplifier, which greatly promoted the development of wireless communication.
Telegraph new book
In 1870s, in order to solve the problem of telegraphic transmission of Chinese characters, the French wiki, referring to the radical arrangement method of Kangxi dictionary, selected more than 6800 commonly used Chinese characters to compile the telegraphic new book, which was the earliest Chinese character codebook published in 1883.
Signature of representatives of the first national telecommunication conference of new China
From January 25 to February 9, 1950, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications held the first national telecommunication conference in Beijing, which unified the national telecommunication management system and institutions and determined the plan for the restoration and construction of national telecommunication in 1950. Vice president Zhu De attended the conference and made a speech.
Foundation stone of Shanghai Liuhang international radio station
Founded in 1930, Shanghai Liuhang international radio station was the only International Telecommunication Organization in Guanxi except Shenyang international radio station. This is a monument to the foundation of the radio station.
Important events
On August 30, 1999, the China Museum of Posts and Telecommunications received representatives from all countries at the 22nd UPU Congress.
On April 1, 2003, Mr. Ma Dejie, director general of Tanzania post, visited the China Post and Telecommunications Museum and signed his name as a souvenir.
On February 26, 2003, the postmaster general, Mr. Lu Bingquan, visited the China Post and Telecommunications Museum.
On November 14, 2003, the director of Iran Telecom Museum visited and exchanged with China Post and Telecommunications Museum.
On May 26, 2004, a high-level delegation from Siemens International Co., Ltd. visited the China Post and Telecommunications Museum.
In July 2004, the Beijing Municipal Youth League Committee organized more than 300 young representatives from all over the world to participate in the third APEC Youth Science Festival to visit the China Museum of Posts and telecommunications and hold exchange activities.
On December 28, 2005, the first China Telecom telephone card exhibition was held in China Telecom Museum.

In 2008, China Telecom museum was awarded the title of advanced member by China Association of natural science museums.
